To start off, I HAVE run Oblivion with Oldblivion before, and Oldblivion and OBSE together before too. Today, I decided to re-install oblivion, but couldn't play due to Darnified UI being fucked up. (Well, I could play, just without being able to use my inventory because the text was ruined.) So I uninstalled oblivion, deleted the remnants of my Oblivion folder that it was installed in, and re-installed. Now, when I tried to run Oldblivion and OBSE together, it doesn't work. I start up and it crashes before anything is shown, even before the window goes fullscreen. I don't understand, I have oldblivion installed and OBSE ready, and I've made the necessary shortcut, but it still doesn't work. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Bump, sorry mods and everyone who may care, but I REALLY need help here. I want my oblivion back so bad!
First:
Why do you need to bump a thread after one hour, and why do you need a alt when you haven't even been banned?
Second:
Sounds like a missing master problem, open Wrye Bash and look for red mods.

I used the alt because it just automerged when I tried to bump it. I bumped it because it wasn't getting posted in and was sinking.
I have the master (Oblivion.esm (Master File) and I will try looking at it with Wrye Bash in just a second to see if there are any red mods.

Oh, and if it helps, it used to crash in the exact same way before I got Oldblivion because of the shitty graphics card built into this old ass computer.
integrated won't run a lot of things
wait for somebody else, but I'm pretty sure that's the root of the problem. Also, it's not a graphics card, it's a IGP (integrated graphics processor)
No, like I said in the OP, I ran it with Oldblivion before and it ran surprisingly well though I did need the help of quite a number of performance enhancing mods. So I don't think that is the problem. Now I am going to individually try the OBSE and Oldblivion launchers without combining them yet. Will post results.

Alright, neither worked. I just reinstalled Oldblivion and tried again still without success. I'm going to completely uninstall oblivion, oldblivion, and OBSE (which isn't really installed anyway) and reinstall and try again.
No luck. Are there ANY locations other than the installation directory and the save directory where Oblivion files are kept? I need to know, I'm trying to just completely erase all remnants of oblivion from my computer and start fresh.
What are your mods, beside OBSE and Oldblivion?
None at the moment. Like I said in the OP, Darnified UI was completely fucked up when I re-installed oblivion, so I uninstalled it again, deleted the C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion folder. Then I re-installed and followed an instruction page on OBSE + Oldblivion (which I previously had and had just forgotten how to use) and it didn't work. If you could give me any step by step directions, that would be great.
no way oblivion will even start on integrated without oldblivion
Go buy a decent graphics card, problem solved.

Because everybody can't afford a £50 graphics card that runs the game flawlessly.
:saddowns:
A card to play Oblivion ? A freaking 7 series NVidia can do that. Stop complaining.

I ran the game with decent settings with a 6 series.
