BF1942 10th Anniversary Celebration, now F2P on Origin!

Just login/download Origin, and you have access to BF1942.

You can't play online with the CD version, only others who download the Origin version. There are already thousands of people online playing, and the game is fully mod supported. Desert Combat... Forgotten Hope, etc.

That's odd, I just got back from playing my Battlefield 1942 - WW2 Anthology with my CD.

I think he means you can play online with both, but the Origin version and the CD version use separate servers.

At least that's how I understand it.

Exactly. Also, someone said it worked if you copied over your add-on folders, they load up just fine.

Ah, how I missed this horrible hit detection. Killing a moving target at range is impossible unless you spray the entire area 10 metres in front of the direction he's walking towards! Legendary stuff.

Haven't ran into many hackers. Just kids scrambling to control the guns on destroyers so they can sink the aircraft carrier and then shoot the deck of their own destroyer until it sinks.

I would do that but some cuntnugget of a friend who borrowed it never gave the manual back, so no CD key.
