Hated a game until recently, and now like/love it? Why aswell.
I must say, COD:WaW. I hated its guts, only every played when a freind was on. I prefered the more run-and-gun style TF2, rather than the camping orientated WaW. Especially how people got rewarded for camping (dogs, artillary etc) and being my first COD game it left a bad impression. The only way to not die every few seconds is to stay still and do shit all, and if you die expect to get 5 deaths ontop of that one death due to spawn campers.
Then I unlocked the STG 44, and now I am topping score boards with ease. Very OP gun in my oppinion, very low damage fall off, good rate of fire and the accuracy aint to be either. Now I see why scoreboard toppers are never under level 33
I didn't like the Rome/Medieval total war single player series at first because i use to like just full on games but now i prefer slower games but can have intense times.
Guild Wars

got to level 20, never did PVP. decided to play again since the recent inducement of Guild Wars 2. the PVP is pretty solid but can use some work and the PVE is pretty addicting.
when is Guild Wars 2 coming out?

don't know when exactly
Probably Q2
BioShock. When I first played it, I wasn't exactly impressed. Sure, it had nice graphics and some decent features, but it felt like any other generic FPS game. I replayed it recently, and it was all right. The one thing I'm still disappointed in is how long it is. Sure, a long game may contain lots of content, but it felt like it was stretched out a little too much.
I hated Shadow of the Colossus. Until I turned off invert on the camera controllable and now it's one of my favorite games ever.
Fallout 3, I always got bored of it really fast, but now I've finally found out what causes that.
Playing it alone.
If you have someone else in the room either watching as you play or whatever, joking along with them and such, the game just becomes... so much more fun and actually has some longevity to it.

I did this with Ratchet and Clank, got my lil bro into gaming.
Left 4 Dead 2, when I played the single player I couldn't stop thinking this is basically Left 4 Dead but with new guns/zombies. I then started playing versus, and saw all the different tactics being used, and I began to enjoy myself alot more.
Spore,
Just fucking wow, I didn't expect it to be so much fun.
