A friend just found this trailer and sent it to me. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-red-faction/100960 Summary: New Protagonist it seems. No more EDF, now it's cool looking aliens. Same destruction as Guerrilla. Reconstructer now avaliable in single player. Edit: http://kotaku.com/5556092/huge-black-cocks Kotaku article supplied by Zezibesh.
Why don't you link to trailer or Kotaku article then
Are you going to provide a link to the trailer or are we to believe your word alone?

Sorry, link added. Forgot to paste it.

Hope it won't become to much like Dead Space, I don't want to play a horror game.
It will never truly be red faction again, until they add proper ground destruction.
I don't think I will like this one.
Urgh not another Red Faction. They killed that series after the first game.
Sweet, red faction guerrilla was awesome happy to have some more.
I'll only really be happy with an underground red faction if they reintroduce damage to the actual environments and dont limit it to buildings again.
http://kotaku.com/5556092/huge-black-cocks
"Huge black cocks." Oh, ok. It looks like it uses Guerrillas engine with a bit of modification and not-so-open environments. I at least hope you can tunnel again in this one.
Vin Diesel...?
Reconstructor = best gun in RFG hands down
No EDF? Only aliens? Lame
Wait... Aliens? What? If they wanted to do a horror in dark tunnels type game why didn't they just bring back the cool nano-tech mutants from the first and second Red Faction games? That way they can have their horror game and not totally lame up the story. Hell, they could have even set it at the same time or just after the first game.
Looks awesome although I don't see how the building destruction will work in an underground environment.
It will never truly be red faction again, until they add proper ground destruction.
Ugh, boring deformation which makes it incredibly difficult to have any sort of story without limiting you to tunnelling through set paths, or awesome building destruction? It would be great to have both, but if I had to choose I would rather be able to blow up buildings piece by piece..
Just realised, I hope they include a level builder. Why give us such brilliant Building destruction and then not let us build giant buildings to knock down?
Hope it won't be crap like before. :sigh: RFII was crap, G was kinda better but still crap...

This really doesn't appeal to me that much. I LOVED RF:G, but this looks like a cheap attempt at horror or something.
New protagonist looks gay. And I thought this one was going to be first person? But yeah either way, not anticipating this, it looks retarded.
Trailer looks good I liked the last one have to see this in action before I make any judgement, the absurdness of your actions always made it difficult to take the story seriously but maybe the new tone will work out
Reposting what I posted in the other thread in the News section: Meh, the trailer sucked. No, black-outs don't make it suspenseful/scary, it just makes it suck. Also there is one single thing that would make the game many times better: Raise the gravity and/or weight of materials. Buildings remained on a single beam for minutes before collapsing, raise the gravity/weight and it will collapse almost instantly, making building destruction actually useful (and fun for more than 5 minutes). Also release a good PC version, I'm not going to buy it on consoles again, the Great Devourer pisses me off. For those that don't know, many nicknamed the floor/ground "The Great Devourer" as any debris touching it would just fall through and disappear (due to the very low amount of RAM consoles have).
I agree with the black-outs, they look so stupid. But it's Mars, it has 1/3 Earth's gravity, shit which holds up buildings here will REALLY hold them up on Mars.
Can't wait, I loved using that Drilling Machine from the first Red Faction, and playing Multiplayer with people and making networks of tunnels.
I want my geomod!!! Tunnelling and shit made RF1 bad-ass
I think it looks awesome. It's interesting to see how their ideas are going into new places, even if they are slightly cliché. I think Red Faction is perfectly suited for this type of thing, blasting buildings in attempt to kill aliens trying just as hard to kill you.
