So, Let's say you're short on cobblestone- Because of a new world, or you used it all up. Well, trimming in a cavern is an easy way to get lots of cobble, AND keep your OCD happy! What you do, Is you go into a cavern and trim down any out-of-place rock/dirt, to make everything all nice, even, tidy, etc. Here's an example of what I've done: BEFORE: All un-even, makes my brain hurt; So I trim it! AFTER: As you can see, I've cut down on a few picks, yet I earned about 3 stacks of cobble. Plus, it's all neat! Also, my OCD is happy. Some of you probably do this, but I thought I'd put it up.
don't say you have OCD when you haven't been professionally diagnosed also, i'm not quite sure what you're doing here idiots all up in this thread ocd = you walk out of a room and you keep walking in and out because your feet didn't have the exact same distance between them, or opening and closing every door in the house twice just so that they line up this is not ocd this is being neat you dense motherfuckers
Usually, When playing minecraft, you get a little feeling of OCD... Cubes bring out the OCD in all of us.
why is everything brown like dookie (User was permabanned for this post ("Gimmick" - Craptasket))
don't say you have OCD when you haven't been professionally diagnosed also, i'm not quite sure what you're doing here
He is taking all of the parts of the cave that extrude, and cutting them out to expose the bare shape that you see in the second pane. And I'm assuming that by OCD, it means his obsession with things being orderly.

I can't stand it when I have an odd number of sticks. Or when I have a shovel or something that is almost used up!
Not sure if it's just me but I find myself automatically doing that anyway.
I assumed everybody did this.
I like to keep things square and i almost always dig up the straggler blocks on corners.
well then that isn't OCD that's just you being neat there's a fairly bold line in between the two i get cold sores on my mouth but i don't go around screaming that i have herpes
OCD is like when you close and open every door in your house twice because you want to have them all open or closed at one time. Being neat and tidy is not OCD.
Minecraft distorted people's notion of OCD
OCD has always been misinterpreted as being neat. Because almost all OCD people are neat.
All you people being OCD about people not using OCD in the correct way. ontopic: I trim my caves also
I had actual OCD, I had to wash my hands twice before and after eating or holding something unclean. If I didn't, I could feel like the germs were walking on my hands (:downs:), and if someone tried to hold me from doing it I'd start shaking and shit. It wasn't neat at all. :saddowns: [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] I managed to get out of it with therapy and hard work. It was awful.
I'd kill someone for 1 more pink skittle right now.
I do the exact same thing, it annoys the shit out of me if it is unkempt.

http://filesmelt.com/dl/ocd11.png http://filesmelt.com/dl/ocd2.png sometimes it gets so bad I'll retrace it to another state, it kinda helps with remembering directions but its annoying as fuck.

I do this all the time, but this doesn't really call for a thread.
Can't turn left? Zoolander, is that you?
the first turn is left what are you talking about
I always do this...EVERYWHERE.
I always do this...EVERYWHERE.
It doesn't feel right when you leave it jagged and I get lost if I don't have a clear path.
I never do this. I like making my caves look natural.
I never do this. I like making my caves look natural.
But do you get lost? I'm probably just bad with directions.

i hate messing with caves' layouts
I kinda like the way natural caves look like, unless it's completely fucked-up.
I do this to one, single path in my caverns, so when I'm exploring and get lost (goddamn caves all look the same) I know I just have to find and follow the smooth path in the center.
