I'm planning on buying gta 4 in a week or so, im worried that it might not work on my computer, I don't have exact specs but I have a vista that I bought about 18-20 weeks ago,and have 20 gb left but can delete some games if needed, do you think it will run on my computer, I was told since windows 7 was almost out I could upgrade for free, it may be too late but I can check if I have to Is it safe for me to download GTA IV or will I be wasting $50 for a game that dosent works or lags too bad to handle? And do I need to upgrade to 7 if I want it?
You have plenty of memory but we need your specs.

You cannot upgrade it, too. If you really want to play GTA IV, consider getting a new computer. On the brightside, you can play TF2 and CS:S which are more entertaining than GTA in my opinion. TF2 should work. BTW: Upgrading an OS won't do anything.

You will lag horribly even on the lowest settings.

thought so, oh well, ill have to settle for San An, and the multiplayer mod, but in that case i can get another $20 game, thanks Edit:No wonder everyone plays an Xbox, you dont have to worry about this stuff every time you want to buy a game :) Edit Edit:Crap, multiplayer mod dosent work with steam version, hope wal-mart still has it
gta 4 is 20 bucs retail. dont buy it for 50 bucs on steam. then if it doesnt work right you didnt waste 50$ you only wasted 20$

A new computer doesn't mean it's a good computer, it'll almost always be a rip-off (depending where you buy it from). If you ever need help with computers, ask in the hardware & software section. They'll even help you pick out parts for a computer.
Never buy pre-builts unless it's a laptop or a netbook.
