Okay, I know there are about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 threads on this but trust me, I've read every single one and none of those solutions are helping. Every time I try to play a game that uses the source engine, (TF2,CS:S,Portal,HL2 episode 1 and 2, gmod, etc.) steam says Loading (name)... then that goes away and i get an error message that says, hl2.exe has stopped working and in the details it says Fault Module Name: shaderapidx9.dll. This has never happened to me before but I think it may have something to do with the fact that I had to switch user accounts on my computer because my other one became corrupted. After I switched accounts this problem started to show up. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Get a dX9 video card.
And this has been posted shitlaods fo times before.
Is that the only solution? These games ran fine before and I cant change my video card due to the fact that I am using a laptop with a chipset.
You really should not be playing ANY source game on a laptop chipset. You probably killed your videocard and are now running on onboard.
Is there anything i can do about that or am i basically screwed?
Try putting "-dxlevel 80" as a launch option without the quotes.

That didnt't work, that only worked for me when Gmod would load and then crash. My problem is that ALL of my source games are crashing before they even start up.
