So I decided to learn how to make particle effects, and whipped this up. It's based on Left 4 Dead's blood effects and look great with gibsplat/dismemberment mod/gibmod. Installation and uninstallation instructions are in the readme provided with the file. :siren:[u][b]Read this befor you make a post![/b][/u]:siren: [b]FAQ[/b]: Q: What game(s) does this effect work with? A: Any game running on the Orangebox engine(Excluding TF2!) so long as it uses the same blood effect as EP2. Q: Is this really Left 4 Dead's blood effect? A: No. It's a blood effect I made from near-scratch that looks like Left 4 Dead's blood. Q: Why are there two textures included? A: Because I had to use two textures from Left 4 Dead in order for it to look more fluid. You don't have to install them, but if you don't the blood will look bland. Q: I want this effect for Garrysmod but I don't have HL2: EP2 mounted, will it still work? A: Yes, I tested it myself. Garrysmod runs on the Orangebox engine regardless of what games you have mounted. Q: That blood looks horrible! A: The pictures don't do the effect much justice. The gibbing stuff is extremely complicated, as ValvE has all sorts of shit set up in L4D2's gibbing. For example, different melee weapons and guns leave their own mark, not to mention it probably requires modified models or something like that. Its not the same as EP2's blood, and its not just colored black. Please download it and test it ingame befor you judge it. I know the pictures make it look bad, but its much better ingame. Trust me.
