Complete new AI, Tailoring, Flying creatures, New Creature Control, roaming guards... oh and did I mention 64bit client is looking great? Awakening will be a game changer that is for sure!

Its a good game, but it still needs some work.
The crafting is one of the best in any game Ive played for fantasy/medieval, people actually experiment to find new formulas. There is a hunger system where your character actually loses and gains weight which affects stats. Full loot is the norm, and you can build houses and keeps and others can take them with with siege weapons. A new and improved territory control system is on the horizon too, along with horse
It takes a day to top off your attributes, and for a combat character it doesnt take more than a week to fully skill your character. The skill grind in the game is virtually non-existent for all but a few crafting skills and the heavy armor skill, which seems to be an exception. All in all its very unique and you should give the trial a try if you haven't already.
I'll give it a shot. Anybody I should add to a friends list anywhere? Teamspeak/ventrilo/mumble servers?

Also the game is bit expensive for you euros cause of the vat tax, :s but its the same as the average MMO...

You live in the USA, the game cost 11.40 Euro monthly , its the same price as any other MMO. WoW, EVE, DarkFall etc etc. europeans have to play VAT tax so its 14.85euro

I remember seeing some gameplay videos for this before it released. I thought it looked awesome but p2p MMO's are just too costly for me.

Opinion based, I find mortal to be much more fun than any of those 3 games. Why I suggest you try out the trial.
I must say I do like that there is detail put into the model animations and the presentation of the game - something that a large portion of not-oft-heard-of online games need work in. Still downloading the damned thing though.

For fucks sake, it doesn't even download, it gets down with downloading the 3000 gb patches and then it gets stuck, show an error it doesn't even fully finish what the error is and it just sets there. I've closed and opened it like 3 times, it keeps doing it.
The idea behind it is awesome, but at launch it was REALLY buggy. No idea how it is now, will try the trial later.
I played the beta for free, it was bad. I'll get the trial I guess.

Its not laggy like before, its at its most stable phase its ever been before. Also creation phase no longer forces you to see a nude male.

Comparing a game to Darkfall to see how good it is isn't really a good idea.
