(Traitors, Innocents, and a detective) ► 7 Maps! [B]Description:[/B] Trouble In Terrorist Town. IN Minecraft? Before we get into the details, I would like to say this. This server is in NO way a copy of the Vareide Trouble In Mineville servers. So before you embarrass yourself, please read on. Advanced servers like this take months to code. Trust me when I say this is no easy work. This server was the collaboration and ideas from one month of heavy testing, way before the other servers were released. [B]How To Play:[/B] Playing the game is simple, understanding it is not. See, Suspicion In Steve town is unique, but heavily incorporates elements from Garry's Mod Trouble In Terrorist town. However, please read on, as there is much to say. Suspicion in Steve Town, at its core, is a very unqiue and fun experience when done right. There are 3 parties: [I]Innocents:[/I] Your job is to figure out who the detectives are. You must use your well judgement, as well as things such as the Testatron 5000, to pick out the traitors from the innocents. Incorrectly killing fellow innocents will only lose you valuable points and karma. Try to succeed, or die trying, but make sure you know who you are killing. In fact, if you don't you will get negative karma. This signifies to players that you cannot be trusting, and makes you do less damage. [I]Traitors:[/I] You know who everyone on the field is. Simple, huh? Destroy the innocents, and above all, eliminate that pesky detective... Seems easy, right? Wrong. The detective and his innocent pawns have an assortment of tools to find out who you are. Additionally, killing players in the open is a bad idea. Others may catch on that you are a traitor and attempt to eliminate you. Kill stealthily and silently, and destroy all evidence that you ever existed. [I]Detective:[/I] You have many tools which can help you destroy the terrorists. Force everyone to get tested, or use some of those special tools. Either way, the innocents and you are a team versus the traitors... The only issue is finding who are innocents. Basically, no one is sure of who anyone is but the detective when the game starts. In this way, traitor's goals are to eliminate the detective and his innocent pawns. Innocents goal is to protect the detective. Detectives goal is to find and help eliminate traitors. [B]What Makes Us Unique?:[/B] Our ranking and advanced shop system, as well as our quick paced games. No more boring waiting time. No more getting kicked after every round. 30 seconds after a game and you are immediately in another. Additionally, we currently have 7 maps, as opposed to the other server's 2. Our ranking system proves new equipment and items with every single rank, and getting points is a breeze. Additionally, we have extremely detailed stat tracking. See the commands for more information. [B]Commands:[/B] [I]/shop[/I] - Shows the general shop. Buy ranks and items with points earned here. [I]/buy [ID][/I] - Buys an item that corresponds with the shop #. [I]/tchat (message)[/I] - When you are a traitor, this sends a private message to all other traitors. [I]/traitors[/I] - When you are a traitor, indicates all fellow traitors. [I]/tshop[/I] - Buys special traitor items with seperate traitor points. Traitor points reset every game, and are earned by killing innocent players or the dective as a traitor. [I]/tbuy [ID][/I] - Buys an item that corresponds with the traitor shop #. [I]/ticket[/I] - Donor feature. Tickets allow you to choose to be a traitor during grace period, so you will become a traitor no matter what next round. [I]/pshop[/I] - When you reach the max rank, you can prestige and buy some very valuable items... [I]/pbuy [ID][/I] - Buys an item that corresponds with the prestige shop #. [I]/role[/I] - Shows you whether you are traitor, innocent, or detective in case you forget.

Chat uses 4 colors, and it is extremely easy to read. Sorry if the chat of the server makes you angry, I will add a feature to disable game messages. However, I hope you enjoyed the actual gameplay. First off - what colors do you recommend I alter to look better? I think they look fine, but if your color scheme is better I will definitely use it. Secondly - There are no hackers on at all. RDMing is an issue, however. How do you recommend I stop it? I could make it so that the attacker dies if he tries to kill an innocent. I already have in place that negative karma progressively makes you do less damage. Getting to -8 karma will tempban you.

Keep going,[/QUOTE] Thanks - In attempt to fix RDM, I made it autoban players for one hour if they reach -3 karma. A lot tighter. Also, I am thinking about implementing a feature where if a player incorrectly kills another player, he dies also.
That was pretty fun. For colors, I'd reccomend trying to put a custom script in place that makes Innocent usernames green, Detective usernames as blue, and Traitor usernames as green to everybody except other traitors, who see them as red. That's what they do in the original gamemode. The anti-RDM feature you're implementing sounds a little overkill. The second time they kill someone sounds more reasonable.

I will sit and see how this does, but thanks for the suggestion. Second time is definitely doable.[/I] Also, currently detectives have a prefix. I will fix this to make their names blue soon. But for innocents and traitors, I am leaving them at white for now - When the players get tested, their names 'dye' to become the correct role - Traitors red and innocents green. Having positive Karma making you deal more damage is probably one of the most idiotic things ever.

The damage multiplier's max amount is 1.2, meaning that no one will do a killer amount more for going positive. I will change it to 1.1 to balance things out a bit though. It was really buggy last time I used it, but I will see what I can do. The main issue is that even invisible player spectating where you can walk around allows you to block arrows with your body. As for flying, what do you mean? I can't give you access to my server files. If you could show me in-game that would be nice.
