Introduction: ASCII Sector is a game which plays somewhat like EVE online without the online part. ASCII Sector is a Space Privateer game with a sandbox concept to it.
Features: A generated market that changes to events in different sectors in space.
A skill system that lets you get better at different skills, like fists, melee weapons, guns, rifles.
Upgrading, lets you upgrade your ship to be faster and last longer
Weapons and weapon types (so far.) Lasers, EMP, and Rockets.
Space combat and ship boarding. (To get down to a personal level)
A combat system that lets you target different parts of the body for different effects, and features stunning, poisoning, drunk, and blinding people.(Shooting the hand will make them drop stuff, shooting them in the leg will make them take longer to move)
Overall this game can get deep for how simple it is and the features it uses, to me its worth a try.And if there is anything missing or you would like me to explain more of please message me.

This is pretty interesting. I can't find any missions I can reasonably do though - when I tried this cargo mission I took in a bar, I got caught up in a fight and killed.
Trying out the game now, looks pretty good.

Not hard to get to them, go to the map target a jump gat and auto there not very hard.

I said it's hard to get to them. For example, I take the mission, and have to fly through five sectors, through asteroid fields and pirates and other stuff. You don't get paid a lot for them, either.

I got paid 10k for a simple "Talk to this douche"
I got killed, because a pirate was shooting at me, and I tried to fire back, but I missed, and shot the feds, and then they all ganged me.

I've been doing easy item transporting missions for just under 1k. You don't have to go into pirate space or anything like that.
There's got to be a better way to make cash than the under-paying and overly dangerous bar missions.
Yeah, I have noticed that each one I've gotten has resulted in my death. Always at the hand of pirates. I need to research where I have to go before I accept.

Use an EMP and fly up to it.
