So I've been looking at BC2 and it looks dirty. I crave the shooting mechanics of MW2 but hate the boners and lack of teamwork. BC2 seems to fix most of those things. However, I would like to hear first hand from you guys. Are there gratuitous amounts of annoying boners in BC2? Like really gay campers and j snipers and shit?

Like any game, it depends on the servers you visit. I almost exclusively go on the Rock Paper Shotgun server, and I don't encounter these types, but when I go on random pubbers, you can get some like that, sometimes you don't get any.

I haven't seen any, but there is an infantry only map (when playing conquest, anyway).

and holy shiy when did battlefield 2 online become so fucking shitty? Literaly every single server I go in is everyone spamming grenades and the commander mashing enemy spotted for no reason

every BF2 server I go into has a bunch of really stupid rules like "no capping X base if Y base has not been capped" or "no using jets if all bases have not been capped" or "no being commander"
I actually saw one server where "no killing for any reason" was a rule...
Anyways, BC2 is pretty awesome. it's got stuff like a spotting feature which points out where enemies are to discourage camping.

The only server in BF2 I've seen that doesn't allow commanders is the one I usually go on that doesn't allow tanks/apcs/attack helicopters or large maps.
I only play on it because I absolutely hate jets. :v:

Making people rage because you repeatedly kill them with the carl gustav is the best thing about this game.

BF2 servers had a lot of really stupid rules IIRC. I think there was even one that would not allow the American side to capture flags out of order, effectively negating any form of strategic flanking or bypass.
I love getting complaints from pubbies because I tracered them on wookie mountain.
