Personally I like UFO: Enemy Unknown (X-COM: UFO Defense), how about the rest of you?
I vote Enemy Unknown. In my opinion it is one of the best games ever made (and the best X-Com).
UFO: EU was certainly awesome, being first game and all. Still loved TftD and Apocalypse, but EU is the best.
The first, I like the whole modern day first encounter thing and you don't fully understand what you're up against until you interrogate aliens and reverse engineer their technologies. In the sequels the game takes place in the future with much more advanced technology and it's just the same bad guys back for revenge, just isn't as interesting for me.

What the fuck? No Enforcer? That was easily the best X-COM game ever made.
It's not canon in the series.
UFO:EU WAS the best game.
I loved Terror From The Deep. Apocalypse was good too. Enemy Unknown didn't present enough of a challenge though, so it's TFTD for me.
Enemy Unknown, Was and Still is possibly the best game ever made. IMO (Yes its my favourite.)
UFO defense is the best.
