So, I built me a mob trap, and this is the collection room (it's a work in progress, so it's rather ugly right now). The problem is, I keep getting chickens spawning in this room, but from where? The chickens are annoying because when I idle, I come back and they've pushed me away from the collection area at the foot of the stream.
Please FP, tell me where in this room the chickens are spawning?

You were so right! I found a 1X1 hole in my chute that led to the surface. Plugged it. Thanks!
You think YOUR problem is bad, try going on your favourite SMP server to find out people spam-threw eggs all around spawn. And by Spam, I mean 10 full stacks minimum.

Spawning 100 cows way up in the air only to see them fall to their death is fun.
If the problem persists, put blocks around the collection point so you have to jump in and out, then they can't push you away from it.

You could fix your problem by adding a cactus next to the grinder (both sides) which chickens bump into and die.
