When I actually find a server with people playing on it, and one with a low enough ping for me to actually connect, I'll disconect after 30 seconds. I have no idea why it's doing it. any help is apreciated

Just attempt again. I get a lot of connect timeouts too, usually get in by the 2nd or 3rd try.
Weird, mine works fine.
Check your connection...?
