I'm considering buying it but it looks rather generic.
I've heard it's a lot of fun, but no reason's why.
Help me facepunch:(
There's a thread for Torchlight, you know.
The levels are randomly generated, there are a shit ton of weapons and all of them are rather unique.
It's alright. I bought it and it doesn't really live up to the hype imo.
It's fun, and for 10 dollars it's definitely worth it. You'll also be supporting a small development team.

That's not the megathread, but another thread asking the same question.
Yes it's good
If you enjoyed Diablo you'll enjoy this too.
If you haven't tried Diablo i'd recommend getting that first since IMO, it's better than Torchlight.
It's pretty fun. The only problem is that it can get pretty generic and bland. You just go deeper and deeper and deeper etc.
I say spend the money on Titan Quest Gold, for £4.99. Much more fun than Torchlight, which, like other people have said, get bland and boring after a while.
If you don't have Diablo 2 or Titan Quest, get one or both of those.
If you've had both of those for a while and you want a little bit of freshness in the genre, get Torchlight. It won't be much of anything you haven't seen before, but it's different in its own way.
Titan Quest doesn't have randomized dungeons though which can put a dent on replayability.
Lack of randomly generated maps can be good and bad. It's good because you can tell that the environments are (mostly) well thought-out. I've noticed a lot of feelings of deja-vu in TL, because some chunks of dungeon floors do tend to reoccur. And I think the TQ world is big enough that you're not going to memorize the entire map or anything like that.
torchlight is fun, but after a week or so after finishing the game on hardcore with all three characters it sure gets boring.
Yes, but making money in this game is a hassle.

just give the item to your pet to sell, making money is not a hassle when your pet can sell everything in its inventory and return in 20 seconds

It isnt a hassle that much for me because of a mod I got. It glitched, and now when I sell this one common item, I get like 20k.

was it a good comic anyways?
[editline]12:14AM[/editline]
:ohdear:
no because it's like making a comic making fun of how you have to walk everywhere in Oblivion even though there is fast travel
I thought it was funny. Don't let Kondor boss you around.

Thank you.
no because it's like making a comic making fun of how you have to walk everywhere in Oblivion even though there is fast travel
And I ALWAYS fast travel.

but the point is you can ALWAYS get your pet to sell
but the point is you can ALWAYS get your pet to sell
That... wasn't the point of the comic.
I was referring to the low sell value.
Thank you.

I was young and stupid. If you told me that then, I would have probably beaten the game... Only until last summer I reinstalled it and did the most epic facepalm when I saw that option
Torchlight is awesome, you should buy it

When you play through it as many times as my friend and I do (we play coop), you memorize the map very quickly.
We've gotten to the point we don't even need to hit use the map anymore. It's pretty depressing, actually.

The "ffffuuuuuu" is unnecessary.
The signature is also dumb.
If you absolutely insist on having a signature, make it a barely-noticeable color. Just change one of the RGB values by one unit. Nobody can see it unless they open the file up in paint or something and try to fill the area that your name occupies.
That's if you're unnecessarily paranoid about people taking credit for your comic.
It's a totally different story if you're planning to get internet famous off of your meme contributions.
I showed the game to my sister's ex, he fell in love.
He's a total Diablo nut, had like a dozen high level character, but then who doesn't.

Um, if tiny size 10 font really bothers you that much, why don't you, I don't know, go in Paint and remove it?

I'm not going to save the picture, but I'd remove that if I did.
I'm just curious about why you signed it. Are you scared of people stealing it, or is it going to make you famous?

Why does it bother you so much whether or not someone decides to 'copyright' their work.
Why does it bother you so much for me to ask?
