Hey guys. I had a bet with my brother. He bet I couldn't beat the game of Half-Life in three hours from a saved file of his (That was at the point with the HEV Suit so I didn't have to ride the tram.) to the ending GMan Sequence. When I got to the level Gonarch's Lair I had been easily powering through the game (As our bet was to beat it on Easy.) And I proceeded to beat it as normal. After it ran into the tunnel/cave it hopped down to the level of rock below. And waited. It didn't move on I couldn't beat it if I was above it. If I dropped to it's level it would ill me easily.
I had managed to get passed the Gonarch once and drop into the pit at the other side of the tunnel but it didn't follow and just waited in the tunnel/cave.
I think it's the way I finished the Gonarch last time but it's been awhile since I played. I lost $10 because of this, anybody know what happened?
First of all, don't make dumb bets.
Second, Half Life AI is very buggy and prone to not working.
Your brother was fully aware of said glitch, and you were played like a cheap harpsichord.

He is horrible at playing games.
He hasn't gotten past On A Rail.
He also hates reading.
Also, I would've won.
But yeah I'll replay it and see if it happens again.

Yeah. It was a random glitch. I shouldn't have put it up here but I was kind of mad and demanded to know what made me lose $10. It's probably going to happen a lot though.
Lesson Learned : Don't bet on how fast how can beat Half-Life.
