I'm sure many of you know what a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) is. It's like a text adventure (like Zork) except in an MMORPG format. A MOO (MUD Object Oriented) is similar, except there's really no set goals. You can talk with other players, and create and program (not in Python) things like buildings and different objects. I'm sure this sounds familiar to some of you! Anyway, PythonMOO is one such example, and although not as popular as the original LambdaMOO (no reference to HL2) I find it to be much more interesting. For instance, it has full ANSI color support, something that LambdaMOO surprisingly doesn't have. I have my own home there, a multi-floor building I'm always working on. If you play, you can visit by typing the command @go #1741. Anyways, check it out. There's usually a few people on besides me, but they're almost always AFK, and it's more fun with more people. You can connect using Telnet (sorry, no SSH) and I use a client called Moops!. Oh, and you don't even need to create an account (although you can't create anything without one.) This is really cool. I'm playing with him right now.
So it's basically a text-based Gmod? how does that even
I love MOOs. HellMOO is a personal fave. [editline]07:17AM[/editline] Wait a week to fucking register?
I joined, I'm in the arcade. I can't do shit. How do I interact with the world?
This confuses me.
