I know yall are probably going to rate me a shitload of boxes, but i am very dissapointed that the "BIG SURPRISE" VALVe kept on talking about was just that steam was on ps3 and portal 2 trailer. I mean cant they just give a teeny tiny bit of info about it?

Because not only did they confirm that one image was fake, but they even told us it wouldn't be Episode 3.

Well, it was a pretty big surprise. Valve hasn't been very friendly towards the PS3.

I know it was Portal 2 themed and all, but i still had just a tiny slimmer of hope that maybe they would have something about episode 3. I dont know i probably shouldn't have gotten my hopes up

It's all about money, not that they need anymore, since they pretty much make a ton with just Steam on the PC and Mac. But what can I say, you got have a great deal of money and time, to produce great games.

Okay if it isn't a 2010 game, it only furthers my belief that this is part of a "box set" and it'll release simultaneously with Portal 2, why release a game based 200 years after the events of EP3 if we don't know what the fuck happens?

After seeing the Microsoft conference, Gabe left Earth to find a species more deserving of Episode 3.
I want episode 3 as much as the next guy but [B] FUCK[/B]. The surprise has been stated numerously to be Portal 2 related. Portal 2 was the aim for their E3 this year. I have a feeling the employees at Valve are getting upset at these constant badgering at them for not releasing info on EP3.
I hope portal 2 will be longer than 20 minutes this time

In the latest interview Eric said that (at this moment in development) Portal 2 singleplayer is at least twice as long as Portal 1. And Portal 2 coop is as twice long as Portal 1 too, and it's not just singleplayer maps played in coop, it's a whole different story and whole different maps & locations.
So at this moment in development Portal 2 is 4 times longer than the original.

It's outrageously ridiculous to have steam on a ps3 because Sony already has their own store on the ps3.

They are not making steam on PS3. They are making steamworks support for their games (steam cloud, updates etc).
And even if they did? Why can't console gamers get something that you have, is this so bad?
