The guys at Wolfire Games - makers of Lugaru and Overgrowth - and Unknown Worlds - makers of Natural Selection 1 & 2 - have gotten together to bring you a deal for two promising games.
For the next week, they're offering a pack of preorders for Overgrowth and NS2 for only $39.99!
"Awwww, but I already bought NS2/Overgrowth!" Well, shut your damn mouth, woman, cause here's where it gets good: if you've already preordered one game, you can get the other for free!
People with Overgrowth pre-ordered can find more information in the Secret Preorder Forum while those with NS2 pre-orders can follow the link found in their blog post (found below).
Information on the pack can be found on both companies' blogs (Unknown Worlds and Wolfire), while you can buy the pack itself here: http://www.wolfire.com/pack
EDIT: Wolfire posted an FAQ about the deal. If you have any questions look here, first.
So we can preorder a game where we pretend to be talking animals, and one that will never come out, ever?
Cool.

lol
It has been in development for over a year with hardly any updates...
Well Natural Selected does look pretty sweet...
That's a mighty fine deal, shame they didn't put it up around christmas, could have gotten it then.
If this were on steam I'd care.

if NS2 would never release, why would they have already released the mapping tools?

Hardly any updates my ass.
They both post stuff like crazy on Facebook.
Here's the latest one, other than the recent sale announcement.

Natural Selection 2 News

We've just published a new patch for the Spark SDK. The Spark SDK is the package which includes the level editor and other tools for Natural Selection 2, which we've made available to everyone who pre-orders the game.

The Overgrowth key will be usable to transfer the purchase to Steam. NS2 might, they just haven't received any word from Valve, but considering that's one - if not, their only - digital distributor, I'd think the chances are pretty good.
More like Orgasmic Indie Preorder Pack
:fuckyou:
I see what you did there. Stop that.
Bought it! :D
By the way, this was also posted on the NS site.
What makes this bundle so awesome is that essentially all the sales (~98%) will directly support our game development. The bundle gets you immediate access to early tools and builds of our games. So you can get an early look at our tech and even start building levels and content. We'll also be releasing our alpha to pre-orderers soon!
I checked my email and I was just in awe. Now I don't have to buy Natural Selection 2!
I love that they did this, and because of it, I will buy it for someone when I'm not living the life of a homeless man in a home.

I think that's just for their level editor, which has been available to pre-orders for a while. But it might mean the full game, who knows.
Seems expensive.

2 games for $40, seems like a pretty good deal to me.

No, the level editors been out. Alpha = the game.
Awesome deal :D

It seems expensive to you, but after having to buy everything in euros on steam it is really cheap for me :v:

Fuck yes, already preordered Overgrowth as soon as it became available.
Fucking fuck yes.
I was one of the first 5 people to preorder overgrowth. this kicks ass.
Awesome, a free game for my Preorder! I'm curious what The Organic is though...
Also pretty awesome that 2 indie devs aren't so stuck up that they actually join forces and give the customers such an awesome deal!
I preordered the special edition of NS2 a while ago, feels great to get a second game for free
been wanting to pre-order ns2 for awhile, this got me to do it

NS is going to be amazing. Rabbit thing just looks like it'd be good for a quick play/modding, but a lot of people are psyched for it so it must be good.
