The Super Metroid hacks thread
Super Metroid hacks are fan made versions of Super Metroid, created by editing the game's SNES ROM file in a level editor such as S.M.I.L.E
The games often provide a new twist for Super Metroid players and can completely alter the look and feel of the game.
The hacks are often made for difficulty, appearance, feel or simply to make your own version of Super Metroid. However, many are also made purely for TAS.

Sr388 looks great even compared to todays 2d sidescrollers.
That thread made me play Metroid:Fusion again.
