Hey guys,
Anyone know a clean source to download Hamachi?
I first got it so that a friend could join my server in TF2.
But when I downloaded it, it came with a virus (mysearchresults). Which if you don't know, it hijacks all your browsers and becomes your default search engine/browser.
I deleted them from my chrome and IE (I hope so anyway) and I had to re-install Firefox.
The virus could still be lurking somewhere since I didn't un-install it from control panel ... but as far as I know, it's not disturbing me and it's gone from my browsers.
So, can anyone link me to a clean source for Hamachi?
TLDR - Need a virus free source for a virus free Hamachi.
PS. Wasn't sure if this thread belonged here or Hardware and Software.

Next time use google.
Or you could just head to 192.168.1.1, go to NAT/Port Forwarding and forward 27015-27015 to 192.168.1.your computer's local IP.

yes, malware can be uninstalled at control panel, its the only way to do it, none of that antivirus bullshit

I did. I'm afraid that's the link that gave me the malware believe it or not. It's even the official website.

I did do that aswell. But too many complications occured. It worked, then stopped working. So I had to go back and fix it up. It worked, then stopped working. Setting up/fixing ports and IP addresses every now and then gets annoying. Yes, I even looked up many tutorials to find out where I could have gone wrong, each method I found tended to work for a temporary amount of time for some god awful reason. Too much maintenance, hence why I searched for easier methods ... hence Hamachi.

I did not fuck it up. The malware was inside the software itself, disguised and hidden. Before this, all you had to do was install the software like normal, just like any other software .. and you'll also receive the malicious software.

OH LULZ Y didnt i fink of dat XDDD
What the hell did you think I did in the first place?
Mate, I did all the anti-virus scans. Ones that I bought and also with the malware checking software that comes with Windows. It said I was clean. Which I obviously wasn't.
How about next time you don't imply so much.
I looked at about 15 websites that explained how to get rid of mysearchresults. I found threads and actual articles explaining how. All said you must start by deleting it from control panel, then dealing with it via each browser.
This is why I mentioned control panel.
You think I mention this because I didn't do some research beforehand?
Four replies and all were people were people being smartasses and got it all wrong.
First person = Gives me the link that gave me the virus
Second person = Gives me a method I've already done many times
Third person = Thinks malware is clearly labelled with the option of installing during installation
Fourth person = Implies only a secret club only knows about anti-virus and implies without knowing the backstory
Guess I'm back to square one, solving this shit on my own.

I've installed Hamachi a bunch of times from the official site and never got any malware from it, I think you just fucked up somewhere.
I think he forgot to untick the box that says "SET MY HOMEPAGE TO MYSEARCHRESULTS AND INSTALL THE TOOLBAR" or whatever.
;39203080']-wall of buttfrustration-
Holy shit man, Hamachi's website doesn't just thrust malware upon you. They would be absolutely suicidal to bundle malware with their actual product. If it came with the download, then you already had malware or another virus on your computer and mysearchresults is the least of your concerns.

I just did a first time install on this computer of hamachi and no trace of mysearchresults.
yeah you were just too silly to uncheck a box that disables everything you were getting all angry about.
Next time read please, saves you a lot of trouble :~)
Hamachi didn't give you mysearchresults, I guarantee it. Also googling "hamachi mysearchresults" returns your other, similar thread as the top result. It's not Hamachi.

also this thread is the second result.

aka ur dum
Dear OP,
You're more dense than a brick of uranium covered in lead under 100 atmospheres of pressure.
Please understand that. Especially because there is no way that Hamachi gave you that virus if it came from their official download, you already had other viri and clearly you're too stupid to understand that.

P.S. you are a bitchy cunt if that's how you're going to respond to people that help you, clearly you don't deserve our help.
P.P.S. Ur a faget
