What you've got to do is, in the launcher settings, change the filter to "server" or something.
The "launch" button should change to "download server modpack" and it'll take you to a site. Direwolf and Mindcrack are 1.4.6, I don't know about the other packs though.

I assume that changes the server jar file to 1.4.6. Because the client's not the problem, the server is.
