Doesn't your Steam ID find you?
Doesn't your Steam ID find you?
No. It is just your steam profile number.
No. It is just your steam profile number.
No, it's not. Your SteamID is a randomly generated sequence of numbers added to your account once it is created.
it says it at the top next to "steam" and it also says it in your task bar, next to "steam"
Haha, oh wow.

The lower the number, the older the ID. That's why low digit SteamIDs are in such high regard.
No, it's not. These are assumed to be the public universe, and an individual account type.

The individual numbers are randomly generated which is what I meant. Sorry I didn't make it clear, and I didn't know about that.

Sorry I didn't make it clear, and I didn't know about that.
What exactly are the individual numbers you're talking about? There are only 4 components to a SteamID: account id, account instance, account type, and universe. None of these values are randomly generated. Account ID is the numeric value that's increased by 1 for every SteamID that's created. Account instance is always 1. Account type is almost always k_EAccountTypeIndividual (1). Universe is always k_EUniversePublic (1).
