I seem to have found a very interesting glitch in minecarts, one which cause them to exhibit a force-field, which affects mobs, players and minecarts To build the force-field generator, you need a 2x1 space PICS tutorial repeat this step 5 times VID courtesy of xxncxx
Are there any practical uses of making force fields?
Are there any practical uses of making force fields?
distance booster
Thanks for the tutorial, OP.
Interesting..could be useful for keeping people off your island..
Why do you need that little jut out of the loading track, where the other is straight?
What does it do again?
Why do you need that little jut out of the loading track, where the other is straight?
so they dont join up at the top, you remove it after you've placed the track
I honestly have no idea what is going on in these pictures, and I have no idea what it actually does.
OP you should make a video to make it more clear.
More explanation, please.
I just tested it out and it isn't doing anything for me.
How big is this force field?
I guess he forced two minecarts to be close together. They're supposed to accelerate when they touch but since they can't move they exhibit some strange characteristics
I call bullshit.
Any videos of this working?
What.
I can't make out what is going on in those pictures. At all.
What is happening!?
Tried it, didn't work. Granted, I tried it in an SMP server where things are still wonky, so someone should try it in SP and report the results.
This is almost as bad as that guy on 4chan trying to explain The Conduit's graphics for the Wii.
It's very slight, but what it does is it boosts minecarts without direct contact. It also pushes players, albeit very slowly so you don't really notice it.
This is almost as bad as that guy on 4chan trying to explain The Conduit's graphics for the Wii.
Which is why we have no idea about what you are referring to.
Guys - something does happen it's just the force field is really weak :v:
This explains it.
This explains it.
The OP didn't say you needed lots of carts. That's why it didn't work.
Yeah it did, he said "Repeat this step 5 times" Just like in the video.
His texture pack is an eyesore as well.
I saw a video on it, it basically makes one of the carts spazz so badly that, for a split second, it stretches across several tiles, nudging every thing in its path. If you right-click at the right time you can enter the cart while it's spazzing,
I made one and a chicken got stuck in it. I accidentally broke the stone holding it in place and the carts and chicken went off with a mind of their own. The carts picked up two cows along the way and then decided to go underwater. The chicken didn't survive. I made another one. Two cows got stuck and were vibrating up and down.
