I decided to start playing the wii that I won in a crappy contest, it was a giftbasket of The game + the Wii + 2 Wii remotes, I decide to set it up and paly Super Mario Galaxy, I completed it and it was over-the-limit kid friendly. But the last few levels were hard as fuck. I swore about 16 times and almost threw my Wii remote through the TV.
While I swore I thought "How the fuck are kids supposed to beat this goddamn game?" Funny when your swearing, you think of kids.
The point of this thread is asking if you ever played this game, was it too hard?
Also feel free to spam me with lates cause this game was released in 2006 :S
Super Mario Galaxy was released in 2007.
And no, it's not hard at all.
The idea of Mario games is to provide a host of easy levels for kids (like the story campaign) and provide a real challenge for seasoned gamers (like Luigi's fucking purple coins).
Dunno what you mean with "kids", but I found the whole game pretty easy. Only thing that was mildly annoying was the hidden challenge levels.
Couldn't be arsed going through it all again for Luigi mode though.
Mario Galaxy is for hardcore motherfuckers.

I think most people in facepunch remember super mario games from their childhood so yes in a sense it is a child's game

What do mean by the last level? The level where you have to beat bowser? Or Luigi's purple coins? If it's Bowser then it's piss easy. Mario Sunshine's was really hard though.

Now since the wii came out, when you play galaxy, you do something wrong trying to get stars, you're gonna end up seeing stars.
Played it.
When I was younger I could play games like that for hours on end. And I do beleive Mario was firstly made for kids.
Was really easy.
