It's very addicting, mainly for me because of collecting the money and buying characters, and because it just is a fun game to play. I haven't played LEGO Star Wars games in quite a while, but, with the release of the 3rd installment of the series, I felt it was necessary to honor this series with a thread and i'm going to play the Complete Saga edition of the game to bring back some memories. I'll let Wikipedia take it from here. Lego Star Wars is a Lego theme that incorporates the Star Wars saga. The first Lego Star Wars, released in 1999, included model 7140, the first Lego X-Wing. Star Wars was the first intellectual property to be licensed in Lego Group history. The first few sets based on the original trilogy were released in 1999, coinciding with the release of The Phantom Menace. Sets based on the prequel trilogy (Episodes I to III) of Star Wars would follow, starting with Episode I. As each new film in the prequel trilogy neared its release date, Lego issued new models of ships and scenes in those films, as well as additional sets from the original trilogy. Originally it was only licensed from 1999–2008, but the Lego Group recently extended the license with Lucasfilm Ltd. to 2011. There is a chance the Lego Company will extend the license again before the end of 2011. The brand has spawned three major video game releases, developed by Traveller's Tales. Lego has produced models which coincided with The Clone Wars, which was released early in 2008.[citation needed] Three video games based on the Lego Star Wars sets and the Star Wars films have been released—Lego Star Wars: The Video Game (2005), Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (2006), and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (2007) and the recently announced Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars coming in 2011. There have been four Lego Star Wars video games: Lego Star Wars: The Video Game (2005) Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (2006) Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (2007) Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (2011) Post your thoughts about a, in my opinion, very fun game. I am curious as to if Facepunch likes this game.
I had the first game, I thought it was really good at the time. Not played it or any others recently
Wow I thought you guys would like this game more.

Lego Star Wars was a great series, they put loads of stuff into such a simple game. I really enjoyed playing through them. Never got a chance to play the original trilogy ones though, just the prequels which was crappy.
No, it took a while for people to post.
There isn't much discussion value for a singleplayer game that's not open-world. If there was, I would make a Nintendo thread.
I loved the Original Trilogy. I played that game until I bought everything at the bar. Starting bar fights and destroying everything to get the studs were so much fun. I still hated the Dagobah mission.
I really love the LEGO series, but I'm not too fond of The Clone Wars... I'll have my eye on Pirates of the Caribbean, though :3:

I hope they could put in the sandbox mode they originally wanted, along with the level maker
I think I prefered Lego Indy. Batman was kinda ass though, half the fun is recognising scenes from the movies...
