Is there a megathread for Minecraft problems? I skimmed through all 6 pages and couldn't find one.
In the event that there isn't, I need help fixing this problem. Whenever I try to connect to a server, I either:
1.) Get disconnected instantly with the reason: "Connection Lost: End of Stream"
OR
2.) Join, but fall for a bit until the chunks generate. I try to chat but it takes like a minute to show up, everything is extremely laggy.
It is NOT MY INTERNET OR THE SERVER. I've tried this on several different servers and gotten these problems.
I used to be able to connect just fine.
All ports are opened, drivers are up to date. Any help?

Open launcher, click Options, force update.
Retry afterwards

Still extremely laggy
Bad luck, for some poeple Beta 1.3xxx people get 3-4 fps, so just try the old launcher (or try running the linux one, I though it worked on windows aswell)
