Anarchy Reigns (Max Anarchy in Japan): super fuckin crazy fighter by Platnium Games - Games

Hey, I am making this thread because this game finally comes out next Tuesday for Xbox 360 and Ps3 for countries outside of Japan, and I know this game is probably going to fall into obscurity in America and probably go on the list of underrated ps3 and xbox 360 games in the next couple of years. So I wanted to make a thread to give it some attention and to talk about it. Anarchy Reigns is kind of a third person beat-em-up/hack and slash/fighting game by Platinum Games, the creators of Bayonetta and Vanquish, formerly known as Clover Studios who created God Hand, Okami, Viewtiful Joe etc. The game features really over the top stylish characters, some of them from Madworld. The game features a campaign mode where you fight regular enemies and bosses and shit like that, I haven't really looked much into the campaign but the bosses seem really cool. The multiplayer features gamemodes like standard VS, team battles, CTF, etc has can have up to 16 players. Up to 16 players fighting each other in a third person beat-em-up with fucking insane combos and bit of actual skill required other than just mashing punch and kick, how does that NOT sound awesome? The maps you play in are also dynamic and feature events that can change the level layout a bit and completely fuck you up if you don't dodge. Oh yeah...and it's only $30 on launch. Sega is being pretty awesome here, and I think it's to try and make more sales and to be kind of a makeup for the people in america and europe who had to wait a year to buy this game without importing it. This game really makes me want to get a PS3 again.

Can anyone who owns this give their opinion on it? Hows the fighing? Is it like mortal kombat or street fighter with fucked up the ass combos that you gotta twirl your stick 34 degrees then kick punch kick slash kick grab punch up up down left punch to pull a basic move? Is online populated? Is there ANY way to local VS/Coop?

I've recently had a look at the achievements, I'm going to have to call them out for commitment, all of their achievements have "Anarchy" in it.

I think i might end of maining Baron. Although Garuda and Durga both look interesting to use. Fuck, i didnt know it was out [b]today[/b], insta-buying.

It's a shame they didn't go for a true campaign but I guess this game was made on a budget and campaigns are expensive. I guess what I really wanted was just Madworld 2 but this seems pretty good.

Spent some time on the campaign, looks good to me. Playing some Multiplayer right now. And it's pretty enjoyable, as long as you don't have a level 30 odds chasing after you repeatedly and getting fed to level 3. And people seem to not want to stick together in TDM either. Its a simple request and yet my team is doing their own thing by themselves. Idiots...

That scene during campaign with the flashback to him and his daughter was weird. Like you got this tiny little thing running around and she kicks a ball to an ultra badass ultra muscle dude with a transformer chainsaw hand in a garden. I can't say I didn't laugh at that bit.
