I was in the the fast thread section looking at the thread about which game you would want to live in and a lot of people said mirrors edge. So I watched the trailer and it looks awesome. I was just wondering if it is a good game and if it is worth buying.
What are the positives and negatives of the game?
Which system is easier and more fun to play on, Xbox or PC?
Thanks
It's very cheap at the moment and is good for killing a good couple hours. It's not that good though.
Wasn't sure if it looked to good to be true.
Thanks for the tip
its too short and have zero replayvalue
Has one of the best atmospheres and first person perspectives I've ever seen in a game. It's pretty short and the fighting mechanics feel tacked on, but if you're looking for something a bit different, it's one of the best.
Would it be worth $20?
yes. and i beat it 3 or 4 times in a week (because its fun)

also xbox is better for it
Is it better on the PC or a controller console?
and the negatives are that the gun play is weak
I have it for the 360, and it's worth it.

It has a first person perspective. Therefore PC. Great game too, if a little short and of limited replay value. Horrible letterboxing though.
Thanks for the help.
Sounds good for a short game.

There is hardly any shooting. I can only see the controls being clunky on a pc.
The first several levels are fantastic. The last few devolve into terrible shooting and kicking, but the game is still easily worth it for the first part. I bought it twice (once for Xbox and again for PC) and have no regrets.
The Xbox has the advantage of the extra levels realeased via DLC, but I'd ultimately go for the PC. Controls are tighter, and there's some really fancy PhysX that looks amazing if you've got the hardware to run it.
The Xbox version is better in my opinion because its controls are more simpler and easy to use and you have the option to buy more maps as DLC. Also, the achievements are really easy to accomplish if you're into that whole gamer points thing.
I'd go for a rent on the 360. It's an awesome experience the first time through
My computer sucks so I'll get it for xbox.
It is better on console I think.
Worth the $5 just for the level design alone.
Never mind, the Steam sale is over, it's $20 now. Still probably worth renting.
I had a crush on the character....

There's a picture of faith on google topless.
Have fun bro.
The game is easily worth it.
It's good, but towards the end it deteriorates into more of a generic shooter than a parkour game.
Don't listen to faggots, it's made for the gamepad. And works very well on that. What platform you get it on isn't really my concern but use a gamepad.

You aren't forced to grab a gun and start shooting, you are given the choice of simply ignoring them and finding paths around them or disabling them and moving on.
I think being locked in a room with the "option" to take a gun or not, and several squads of machine gun equipped marines qualifies as being forced.

It's worth 60€.
Also if you have a capable PC, get it on PC, controls are much better and graphics are much better (if you have an Nvidia card you can enjoy some sexy glass physics too).
I had it on PC, it's fucking epic.
I played through it twice. But I often re do particular missions.

Agreed. :respek:
Yes, the beautiful atmospherics are worth it. There's very little replayability on the whole but the mechanics of moving which I enjoy makes me replay through missions.
(How can you have a crush on what is essentially supposed to be yourself? )
