• GTA IV - PC Installation help?

I just bought GTA IV for PC, and I was very excited to get straight onto it. Well, it downloaded the social club by itself, then prompted me with how my system wasn't compatible. Then, a window popped up displaying the items I needed to download first, such as Rock * Social Club Sony DADC SceuROM Adobe Flash Microsoft .NET Framework Games For Windows - LIVE Internet Explorer DirectX Problem is, internet is down. I figured I would be able to play it with no internet, but it seems otherwise. My question is, is there any way to play it without internet? Is it possible to download all the needed items onto a storage device, then move it to my computer? Any help would be highly appreciated. Oh, BTW, just for nothin' here is my specs: Windows Vista Home Basic 32 Bit OS 3.0 GHz Processor 1 Gb RAM nVidia GeForce Graphics Thanks
It has to be DRM checked, then a patch can be installed that removes DRM altogether. Not that it matters. Your PC isn't even halfway towards allowing it to work. You need a dual core, at least 2Gb RAM and what card are you using?

Damnit, Are you 100% cirtian that I cant just lower the graphics to make up for the RAM? Also, Why does the processor NEED to be dual? Edit: I read a fourum on GTA, and it said the minimum RAM requirement was 1 Gb. Hopefully it wont be TOO slow.
Pretty sure. Minimum specs say at least 1.5 for Vista, and Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4 GHz processor. I've got a lot more than that, and am currently running it well on medium. All I need is to replace my 2Gb of RAM (it doesn't run well, and I need to buy 3GB that's more efficient) and I should have no problem. I could post my specs if it helps.
What about checking the system requirements BEFORE you buy a game? :sigh:
What about checking the system requirements BEFORE you buy a game? :sigh:
I did, but I did not notice the dual processor thingy, and it did not notify the RAM requirements. Processor: AMD Phenom X4 9500 2.2Ghz (Basically, a good quadcore. There is better though) OS: Vista 32bit. (Only problem with Vista is the 3.5 Gb RAM limit) RAM: 2Gb (I need better RAM. Mine is cheap and a bit slow, running DRAM is 323Mhz) Video card: Nvidea 9800GT 1GB Green Edition ( a decent price and works brilliantly) My specs run any Source game at Maximum, Just Cause 2 at High/Very High and Fallout 3 at maximum to give you some benchmarks. As I said though, I need to replace all the RAM with 3gb of brand new sticks and I'm done.
