• Murder Mansion - Or How I Killed over a Dozen people and Walked Free

I miss the days where games mainly focused on action and such, over a storyline and the like. Sure a storyline is nice but it can get to a point where it derides the actual Game play. But I have found a resolution! Now to those of you on here, who I'm sure play Space Station 13 will ADORE this! It's the BYOND version of the game The Ship which also revolves around Murder. This game, also to a similar effect has needs in that you Must Eat, Drink, Sleep, and of course DIE but not necessarily in that order.
What is BYOND?
BYOND(Build Your Own Net Dream) is a Gaming system, kind of like Steam but not really, which usually has a lot of crap 2D games but a few awesome ones, one such as Murder Mansion. BYOND has it's own website, www.byond.com which you need to sign up for the good things, and also download the launcher. As for those of you who worry, "This Mansion is so drab, I wish I could redecorate" well, sorry but inflation has rendered Wall paper and other such materials necessary for Home Renovations impossible. But fear not! You may also do another Level, fancy yourself a Friday the 13TH copy-cat? No problem! With the Camp level you can drag people into the woods and hear their screams of agonizing pain as you stab them to death with a Popsicle(If you could use one ;_;). It's quite the game, really! [t]http://i.imgur.com/kwy32zY.jpg[/t] Me screwing with NPCs.
A Walrus's Guide to Wizardry
So you're a Murder. Congratulations! You'll be living the dream that few others do, being a complete Sociopath/Psychopath and kill everything like we all want to, but know better then to! There are a few things to be aware of, most of them being Common sense. Foremost, when you're about to rend flesh from bone, tear asunder life from a person you're usually going to want a Weapon. If you don't, I hope for your sake your Chuck Norris, else you'll likely be killed by them first. Now, with that in mind, you're going to want to no doubt Murder them. Immediately you should scan your surrounding to make sure there are no Witnesses, otherwise it would likely bring your Crusade to an abrupt and unfortunate end. After you've ensured there are no Witnesses, you'll want to if possible naturally beat their Brains in. Feel free to do so, but be warned! If they get the chance out of instinct, they may scream(or not) so you'll want to do it as quick as possible. Once they deceased, laying still, their faces devoid of thought or any consciousness, you'll need to think quick. For one, it's inevitable that someone will happen upon the corpse. You don't want that, as it will tell everyone there is something awry, you want them to think as long as they can that things are fine. Of course they'll still realize the victim is missing, but the time it takes them to varies. You may want to put the body where few trod, and if you do use a instrument you'll want to discard it as well, preferably away from the body. Of course if you are willing to risk being caught Red-Handed, in some cases you can clear it of any specific evidence. Of course there may be Fibers, and there usually is. So you're being Hunted. How unfortunate for you! There is a being of great Evil amongst you and your peers, in order to defeat this Evil you must either A) Bring the Hammer of Justice Down upon this Demon(By which I mean beating them to death with a Literal Hammer) B) Or Expose this monstrosity by revealing them to the Forces of Justice(In this calling the Cops) The best way to ensure safety is to split into groups, which typically will constitute two persons per party. However, I would highly recommend three per group if plausible, as it's harder for the killer to murder two people without one of them striking him down first. Be sure to stay together, as the moment when one man ventures astray could prove fatal. That being said, even if nobody does split up you must take heed; Keep your enemies close and your closer, you never know who it could be until you see them performing so. Even if your just investigating, it's helpful to have others present as they say two heads are better then one. It is helpful also to interview EVERYONE as it may help you to learn if anyone doesn't have an Alibi, which makes a potential suspect. In order to expose them, which is typically the harder route you must collect enough Evidence so you know for sure that they are the inner demon wrapped in a mortal shell. A incorrect assumption will cause you to become Disqualified(die automatically), and in doing so it makes their job easier. If you know your assumption is correct, you should immediately find the nearest communication device, and contact the authorities. A correct assumption will lead to the person's capture, and subsequent purification(Execution by Electric Chair) If you are unable to determine the murderer, there is always the old fashioned way; Find him and deliver onto him death. So, what are you waiting For?! We've got a server set up and just waiting for Bloodthirsty Murderers like you! So join now and become part of the Murder Craze, just like CRAZY MAYS http://www.byond.com/games/SuperSaiyanGokuX/MurderMansion The Server is one I intend to keep up regularly, however there are rules I'm afraid. It's pure Situational Irony, I know but I will try to refrain from instituting many. 1. Do Not block access from any weapons, especially the Revolver should any new people find it. I know it's a terrible thing, but you must also remember if you're not the Murderer, it's a powerful weapon against him. That being said, it is permissible to use it if there are within a certain number of players, as it stands you may use it at... 2 Players 2. This is sort of a rule, but not really; Avoid splitting into parties and such until someone has been killed, as it makes the situation difficult in terms of advancing Game play. Not to say it wouldn't be impossible, but arduous regardless. 3. Have fun, you may complain and such but only if you are able to do it in a polite and courteous demeanor, criticism may or may not be used. Above all else though, if you cannot abide by the rules and such, you are welcome to play elsewhere. There may be other rules added later on. THE IP! 50.115.165.171:2085
Man, I had no idea what this thread was about until I googled BYOND. First I thought it was just an idea for a game that should exist, then I thought maybe it was a Gmod RP server... Maybe the first post should assume readers have no idea what BYOND is, so more people like me don't get confused. Then again, maybe I'm just the stupid one here.

Rather, I had considered a lot of people played SS13 here and knew what it is.
Although I have no idea what you are talking about, the concept actually sounds rather neat. Especially the camp level.
So, you talk about a game nobody has heard of, made on a site nobody has heard of, and provide an IP to connect to, yet you never actually link to the game? OP of the year right here. [editline]27th January 2013[/editline] I'm guessing this is the link to the game. http://www.byond.com/games/SuperSaiyanGokuX/MurderMansion
BYOND also hosts SS13 so I assume some people actually know what the site is.
