Okay, this days I have an urge to play some cool games.
Cool games with fuck loads of weapons.
And I'm talking about over 30 weapons.
Post yours, do not repeat games that have been mentioned already.
List :
-Cortex Command
-Fallout series
-Call of duty 4
-Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield
-Gmod
-Oblivion
-Morrowind (inb4 Morrowind, lolz)
-S.T.A.L.K.E.R series
-Pocket tanks
-R & C
-Opposing force deathmatch
-The Jagged Alliance 2 with 1.13 mod
-Borderlands
-ArmA 1
-ArmA 2
-Metal Gear Solid 4 (PlayStation exclusive, *sniff* :<)
.....
Whatever, he wanted lots of guns, I gave him my opinion...
Cortex command with mods was my first thought.
I know, my grammar is not that good, my mother language is not English.
Ninja'd , Cortex command has many weapons and it is fun.Played it a while ago.
Fallout
snip
Cod4
Have a go at Smod: It's a mod for hl2 and it has a fuckton of guns.
Also, despite the flak it gets, call of duty does have a lot of guns.
Oblivion
edit:
why the dumbs? I'm pretty sure Oblivion has atleast 30 different weapons
If you're looking for multiplayer, get MW2.
If you're looking for sandbox, Fallout 3 and Gmod actually has plenty of downloadable weapons.
Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield
Pokemon.
There's like 151 of them that are good though. The rest are lame.
Edit: In case anyone is stupid enough to think im serious, i am.
DEADLY serious.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned STALKER. The vanilla game of SoC doesn't have that many weapons, but mods like LURK add tons of weapons, with working Iron Sights. OP, you should go check it out.
If you enjoy a post-apocalyptic game, Fallout 3 is a great start, with FOOK 2, you get somewhere around 130+ weapons.
Both great games, I've recently started playing both of them again.
What console we talking here, btw?

Arsenal also adds weapons if he doesn't want an entire overhaul mod. However, it rather rough compared to L.U.R.K.
Ratchet and Clank has heaps
I really like the Ratchet & Clank games for this reason. There are probably around 30 weapons (little more, little less) in each game, but each one has an upgraded form too, which is significantly different from the original. I've only played the second and third game on PS2 (haven't had a chance to try the PS3 one or PSP ones) and they were really good.
Also consider dungeon-crawlers / Diablo clones. The main feature of games like those is randomized equipment, so no two items are the same, usually. The only problem there is that some of the items LOOK the same, but have different effects... But I can say that Titan Quest has a TON of modeled weapons. New ones even keep appearing once you start a new game on a harder difficulty.
I could also say Pocket Tanks... It's a little scorched-earth game with more than 200 items currently, and they release lots of expansion packs. Honestly though, the game plus all those expansion packs is pretty expensive. You'd get more for your money in one of those above games.
Is there any genre you're looking for though? My three suggestions were pretty different, and everyone seems to be suggesting first-person shooters here.
Pocket tanks is well worth what you pay for it if you have friends
Thanks you guys.
I will buy Ratchet & Clank and Rainbow six 3 soon.
Pocket tanks looks very fun and maybe I'm getting it too.
Also please don't repeat games that have already been said.
Mass Effect.
Mass Effect.
Technically, yes. In practice, no.
If you have a Dreamcast, Powerstone 2 and Spawn in the Demon's Hand.

No no no, no specific genre, just games that have many weapons. It can be FPS, RPG, and so on. They suggest many FPSs because first person shooters are mostly the games that gave many weapons.
Also, what console ? PC preferably.
Thanks you guys.
I will buy Ratchet & Clank.
Is the newest one out yet? a wrench in time or what ever? looks awesome get that one or wait till it comes out.
I think it's out.
Not sure,though.
I didn't play the first R & C, but I think it might have had fewer weapons than some of the later games... #2 and 3 are definitely good though. Plus, the weapons are all really different from each other, and pretty imaginative.
Bad Company 2 PC beta starts Thurs.
-snip-
Opposing force deathmatch
29 weapons.
I remember playing Ratchet & Clank 3 on the PS2 years ago.
That game was awesome and had a lot of weapons.
