Well known actors ruin the immersion, and makes it almost impossible to build any relation to the character because you always will get the voice-actors previous jobs in your mind. Shaun in this case.

Well, we had Jen Taylor, Chad Coleman and Hugh Dillon all voice characters for L4D and they're pretty well known.

I want Simon Pegg in, but I agree with this too. It took the entire run of Mass Effect to get me to the point to where Joker was actually Joker and not Seth Green, but if the game's good enough (Mass Effect 2) you don't think about the voice actors, they're the people.
Will he take us to the Winchester in-game? Otherwise, make it happen valve.

Nah, because that would sort of ruin the whole immersion thing.
So like if you see a dead guy he'll be like "Hey it looks like his name is Shaun HEY HEY GET IT SHAUN HE WAS A CHARACTER I PLAYED IN ONE OF MY FILMS BECAUSE I'M SIMON PEGG NOT WHEATLEY"

Well it also doesn't help that Joker is modeled after his voice actor.
When I first heard that Wheatley would be British, I think I remember the voice I imagined was Pegg's voice.
I think I would piss myself with happiness if this happened.
