I've reinstalled twice, restarted my computer, verified game cache, etc. No luck.
I tried posting this in the megathread, but nobody saw my post. It's kind of an emergency :/
It's not an emergency. Just wait for a fix, it'll come in due time. The game isn't that great anyways and you can barely stay in the server long enough to get a proper score before you get kicked for network issues.
I doubt they will release a fix for something that is apparently only happening to me.
Turn off steam overlay.

Sometimes I get random crashes too.

Even if it wouldn't be on steam, it's the beta. You don't get game betas on disks.
Run it from the folder, that's how I fixed it.
