• Half-Life and Left 4 Dead are in the same world, I (personally) think...

Well, here's my theory: The Left4Dead universe takes place in 2009, right? And the first Half-Life is 1998. Presuming Half-Life is the real world, this means that there is an 11 year gap between the two. Now, if you think of Left4Dead as the real world too, this means the infection was removed before the new decade, or soon after it started. After the infection was removed, Combine came out of the superportal, Seven Hours War blahdy blah. Half-Life 2 takes place in about 2013, so I'm reckoning the Combine were in control of humanity for a couple of years before Gordon came along. What do you guys think?
Portal storms took place in 2004, combine invaded in 2008-2009 and HL2 takes place around 2017 No.
What about the portal storms? Oh goddammit Arvuti.
They're games.

L4D has nothing to do with the HL2 universe. If it did then VALVe would be throwing to much chaos together in one universe.
portal storms fuck things up. infection begins in New York while Europe is being devastated by xenians. Combine invades both and beats the living fuck out of the zombies and xenians. Also the humans get pwnt. Gordon comes and only a few xenians are left. If the Combine wouldn't have killed most of the xenians HL2 would be impossible to beat.
L4D3 needs headcrabs.
Pshaw, I think it's confirmed that l4d3 is gonna have narwhals.
Portal storms took place in 2004, combine invaded between 2010 and 2013, HL2 takes place around 2020
Fixed again Until we have an official source, we're with this
Fixed
It takes place 2 decades after HL1 (From Valve's EP1 site) box.
How about they make up a campagin where the survivors go to some Science Lab in Canada called "White Mesa" and they get the vaccine for the zombie infection, thus saving the world? Wait, that's Left4Dead 4.
Headcrab Hunter?
Headcrab Hunter?
fast zombie, unless you mean normal headcrab
Kinda weird how there are no references to each other across the games despite each depicting a monolithic event in human history.
Every game Valve makes doesn't necessarily need to be in the same universe (even if Portal and HL are). Going by your logic, I think it's safe to say that Geometry Wars and Banjo Kazooie are in the same world.
Hint: Alyx's age Would be fun to see headcrab hunters HOLY SHIT! HEADCRABED WITCHES! :3:
Portal storms took place in 2004, combine invaded in 2008-2009 and HL2 takes place around 2017 No.
The only dates I've seen that show when HL1 took place are shown like this: 200- So between 2000 to 2009. How have you narrowed it down to 2004? And why would the Combine wait 4 years? Not that bothered, but kind of curious where you got your information from.
Nick and Ellis are actually Griggs and Sheckly.
L4D has nothing to do with the HL2 universe. If it did then VALVe would be throwing to much chaos together in one universe.
There is the possibility of alternate universes. So technically while one side is under fire from portals and aliens the other is plagued by zombies
Hint: Alyx's age Would be fun to see headcrab hunters HOLY SHIT! HEADCRABED WITCHES! :3:
Yeah, too bad the ZOMBIES HAVE ALL DIED OUT by the time of HL2 (20 years) in fact, in just 2 weeks, some Infected are just laying down and dying!
What about the portal storms? Oh goddammit Arvuti.
Arvuti is estonian for computer.
L4D3 needs headcrabs.
you mean mini jockeys?
