So when i start playing a stage or a creator in Spore, my computer has a jumbled screen for half a sec and then restarts. I can start up the game and the menu is just fine, but when i start with a creator or stage, boom. also, i had this problem and then re-installed windows, and still its crashing! please help. Specs: ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series NVIDIA nForce2 AGP Realtek ac79 audio 2gb of ram i think 2.7 htz im probably wrong. 300 gb hard drive and about 60 gigs used or something And windows 7 ultamite. HALP!
upgrade your graphics drivers [editline]06:57PM[/editline] catalyst
2.7 Hz? that's probably the problem
Why do you even play that game anyway? htz? :raise:
ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series NVIDIA nForce2 AGP wat. you cant have both.
At buttsecks: I dont know, and if thats the case then im wrong as i used to be able to play spore. at bananas my system info says that or something. my graphics card is ati radeon. i dunno what other is. at solder im not farmiliar with computer talk that much. also, i heard that "omega drivers" is the way to go, but theres none for windows 7 and my graphics card. but i will try to get new drivers.

I'm pretty sure if they were incompatible his PC would refuse to even boot. Get the latest version. And clean out your PC, the restart may be caused by your PC trying to stop itself from melting. Can you give us some idle temperatures? Run Speccy and take a screenshot of it, and take a screenshot of your HWMonitor stats too.

Mmmmmm yeah. (spits in a can and tips hat)

The nforce is your motherboard 'chipset', which shouldn't be particularly important in most cases. Please, take screenshots of those programs for us.
Better specs: ATI Radeon HD 3600 Series (ASUStek Computer Inc) 313GB Western Digital WDC WD3200AAJB-00WGA0 ATA Device (IDE) Realtek AC'97 Audio nVidia-nForce2 (Socket A)(motherboard) 2.0GB Dual-Channel DDR @ 200MHz (3-4-3-7) AMD Athlon XP Barton 0.13um Technology SO yeah, idle heat for video card: Temperature 38 °C Core Voltage 0.900 V My hard-drives idle temp is 33 °C Thar u gaow. and again, i used to be able to play spore.
Yup, those temps are well withing acceptable norms. You sure your graphics drivers are up to date?
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2550/4055937703_5893096990.jpg l4d2 screenshot (i didn't take it.) http://www.artificialaiming.net/sshots/TF2Radar-sshot001.JPG tf2 screenshot. Thats what you wanted? if so, they run FANTASTIC. gmod, a rather demanding game also works great, so long as i dont use more than 4 nuclear bombs at once. [editline]05:02PM[/editline]
Yup, those temps are well withing acceptable norms. I JUST REMEMBERED: I HAVE NO DRIVERS! I TRIED OUT THE DEFAULT WINDOWS 7 ONES! FIAL!

nah man i have windows 7, a friend said get vista. [editline]05:21PM[/editline] DAH! still restarts. but instead of a jumbled screen it just goes black then restarts. but i think it started after i got patch 1.5, how may i remove a patch or downdate?

You say you are running Windows 7 right? Go to your video cards manufacturers website, download and install the latest video drivers for your video card which has support for Windows 7. Take the time to read what others say properly, by now you would've had your question and help answered already.
http://www.artificialaiming.net/sshots/TF2Radar-sshot001.JPG tf2 screenshot.
This caught my interest. What is this exactly? Why are the player names highlighted and shown? Did you take this screenshot? [editline]p[/editline] Ganoric Mank said for you to take an in-game screenshot of these games. One reason for this is to check for any in-game artifacts that can be caused by an overheating video card.

[editline]07:59PM[/editline] uh oh, while i was making a video with movie maker, exact same problem. jumbled screen then restart. WTF?
did you update your drivers yet?
yesh.
bump?
get hwmonitor, post pics of temps.
bump?
I think you're not giving us much to work on at all. What I would suggest is to use a software that creates a live log of the current temperature shown on each individual hardware components connected. This should especially include your CPU, hard drive and video card. Begin to create a live report and just do whatever you do that causes these problems. Post results here. Be sure to include usage statistics if possible. I'm not too knowledgeable of many 3rd party software that does this, but a few that does come to mind is both RealTemp and hwmonitor.

It cant be an overheat because wmm and spore, the only two things that are affected (wmm gets a bsod btw) are nothing compared to gmod and l4d2, witch are demanding and dont crash. So, how may i remove an update?

Spore is overrated anyways, and are you sure you didn't pirate a faulty version?
