Tropic is a great Tycoon/Sim type game. X-Com is a great game from the 90's that essentially kickstarted turnbased isometric games. Freedom Force is just damn fun. 2.5d perspective, control your "squad" of heroes against the evil villains!

I thought Freedom Force was hard as hell. I only have like 3 characters, and there's one mission I just can't pass to save my life

I played Tropico 3 at a friends house, It was pretty damn good. But it got repetitive and the radio announcer annoyed the hell out of me.

Is X-com any good and will it play on Win7?

Might get X-COM... Isn't it [I]incredibly[/I] hard though? One of my friends plays it and he always tells me how his entire squad died and stuff.

Ugh. I want to get Tropico 3 but I don't have time to play it. I still gotta beat GTAIV which I got from the steam sale, Chaos Theory, and eventually play Mass Effect 2 first. I played the demo of tropico 3 and it was tons of fun.

Zip File, If you take it slowly then it's not too bad. It's guaranteed that at least half of your squad will be sniped from across the map and die in a single shot even on easy to start with, and the enemies only get harder but you should have pretty good equipment after not too long and you'll be able to effectively fight back. For the three strategy games, UFO Defence/Enemy Unknown is hard, Terror from the Deep is the same game but underwater and impossible, Apocalypse is more advanced technologically, and probably the easiest. Funny that Freedom Force and X-Com should go on sale when they are the two things I bought together in the Christmas Sale.

I always start on either the arctic or antarctic in x-com, because humanity always needs bad-ass snow soldiers kicking alien asses who happen to trip on pinguins or get eaten by leopard seals.
