Do people still play Battlefield 2142?

As in, should I bother getting it or just get BF2?

... or none and just enjoy Bad Company 2 and get BF3 in the future?

I'm interested in the BF series and they both look appealing, any opinions on which one is better and why?

More people play BF2, i looked and it said a total of 1,000+ people were playing 2142 while 9000+ were playing BF2.

BF2 is less buggier, though i love 2142's gamemodes (titan is fucking beast)

I still play 2142, and there are still plenty of populated 48-64 player servers. Go for it, much more fun than BF2 IMO.

24/7 Cebere Landing and 24/7 Gibraltar servers are almost always packed.

Plenty of people play.

I enjoyed playing 2142 a lot more, and there are always packed servers whenever I'm on.

2142 is way more complicated than BF2, I didn't know how ranking and unlocking weapons worked (I previously played BF2). Once you know all of it it's fun, a bit better than BF2.

BF2's mods are still top-notch must have gameplay however.

I still play BF2 on almost a daily basis, great game. I'm still trying to work out if the new Battlefield looks too arcadey for my liking.

While I prefer the other Battlefield games, the 'Titan' gamemode was quite good.
