Okay, after about a year, I finally fixed my crappy Desktop PC (just as my laptop charger broke) and I want to play some games on it. Since my computer is a crappy eMachines T6534 I have no idea what I can run. Here are my specs:
CPU : AMD Athlon™ 64 3700+ processor with AMD 64 Technology
(2.20GHz, 2000MHz system bus, 1MB L2 cache)
Operating System : Microsoft® Windows® XP Home SP2
Chipset : NVIDIA® GeForce® 6100
Memory : 512MB DDR (1 × 512MB), 400MHz (PC3200)
Expandable to 4GB (I'm going to expand but for some reason my computer is telling me i only have 383 MB)
Hard Drive : 200GB (Like 145 free)
Video : NVIDIA® GeForce® 6100 integrated graphics solution
Up to 128MB of shared video memory
PCI Express (PCIe x16) slot available
So... what can this crapstorm run????
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that if you want you can check my steam games list and tell me if I can run any of those.
Processor is alright, get another gb of ram and a better video card.

Yeah thats what I've been planning on doing, just need to get the money....

I don't think a single core 2.20 GHz processor is alright anymore.
I'm sure most source engine based games should be able to run on there. Plus you could view one of those 'what games can I play on my laptop' threads that pop up once a month and see what people have to say in there.
Dwarf Fortress.

What is this "Dwarf Fortress " Of which you speak?
Fallout 3.

The game with the steepest learning curve. :v:

Game suggestions (current state):
HL1
HL2
Morrowind
System Shock 2
Deus Ex
Serious Sam 1
HL2 on medium/low.
You have PCI-e so buy yourself a graphics card.
Right now you have an integrated 6100 which is from 2004/2005

Sorry, shouldn't have capitalized every. Kind of made me sound like an ass. I just meant that they mostly only have newer games.

I would recommend Morrowind, it should keep you busy for a long time.

Is Morrowind as good as Oblivion?
Is Morrowind as good as Oblivion?
Yes. Most people consider it better, actually.
I consider it much better

Don't even use that. It isn't accurate at all.
TF2 I used to ran it on an TI card
1. New Processor
2. Better RAM
3. New graphics card. For around $200 you can get a GTX 260 core 216 like me. It runs great.
You could get an ATI 4870, but I prefer nVidia.
This is super inaccurate
^ This is true.
That website reads my video card's memory twice as much as it really is. Plus it doesn't seem to understand processors very well.
