• Help Wanted for a HL2 Mod

Hello. Making a HL2 Mod obviously. I will be creating the sound, music, and doing some mapping, however I need: -An experienced weapon AND prop modeler. -A mapper good with NPC scripts, like at least able to make a decent NPC-only scene. -Someone who can make a good skin. -A ragdoller/ragdoll/npc animator -Maybe an NPC script writer. I have some experience with that. I might just need help with a couple things though. You don't need to be perfect, just able to help. Any help is appreciated, and if you join, you'll get all of the storyline then. Remember this is PURELY FOR FUN AND YOU WILL NOT BE PAID WITH MONEY. I WILL ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING I WILL NOT MAKE YOU DO THE WORK AND GIVE YOU NO CREDIT. Thanks
Just a quick heads up, you'll probably be getting nothing but flames coming your way unless you show previous work you've done or work you've already done on the mod that shows some sort of promise. Otherwise, most people will think you're one of those "here's my idea now make it for me and i'll take the credit" kind of guys.
Oh okay, I'll upload something soon. [editline]01:48AM[/editline] Okay, here's proof that i've done something, still working on the first map, it's in dev texture stages. How do you take a screenshot in Hammer? Well anyway, here's the soundtrack from the first map (called "Haven"): [url]http://rapidshare.com/files/345578675/nf_haven_intro.zip[/url] BTW: PM me instead if you want more info about anything.
The music is good but that's about the only real content you have. I think you can really do something with it though, have you considered joining an existing mod team? Before trying to start a mod by yourself joining an existing team looking for a good sound/music composer and maybe mapper might be the right place to start. Then maybe you can pickup different skills and tips as you go.
Well there aren't many mods I'd want to work for who need a music composer :(
I'd say join a mod team or learn to do coding and then make a mod with the existing props and stuff and then if it is good enough consider doing a total conversion like that you're planning now. [editline]10:13PM[/editline] And don't use rapidshare.
Well I have already done a simple mod without making any models and stuff, so I'm assembling a new team to make a more complex mod. I've studied C++ for about 4 weeks, so I have an extremely basic understanding. And what other good sites could I stick stuff on?
Join my team, I could use a music composer...as well as a coder D:
We'll see........maybe. If this doesn't take off you'll get my help.
