Super awesome.
It's been a while since we've had a new Burnout, what with Criterion busy with Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit since Paradise was released, but it looks like EA are ramping up for a new title in the series with Burnout Crash. Burnout Crash has been rated by the Australian Classification Board, and doing some extra digging via Linkedin profile search, the game is a Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game. While nothing currently states that the game is a downloadable title, it could very well be a new retail Burnout game, the lack of announcements prior to its rating has previously meant it was a downloadable game. Also, and this is purely a hypothesis, but being called Burnout Crash may mean this is a title entirely based around Burnout 3 and Revenge's Crash Mode, a sorely missing feature of Burnout Paradise. Definitely exciting if it is a downloadable game -- I could do with a new Burnout game either way.
looky here console exclusive :saddowns: source: http://www.gamerbytes.com/2011/04/software_ratings_reveal_burnou.php and http://ps3.ign.com/articles/115/1159198p1.html (i didnt see a thread, so if late please lock)
If it's anything like Paradise with that free-roaming nonsense, I don't want it.
If it's anything like Paradise with that free-roaming nonsense, I don't want it.
i loved the free roaming nonsense.
What Burnout needs(and most other games) is a Halo 3 like Theater Mode. I mean, the whole point of Burnout is the crashes, and it's rather pointless without a good theater mode.
Great! I always liked playing Paradise online with my PC buddi-
Console exclusive
Fuck.
If it's anything like Paradise with that free-roaming nonsense, I don't want it.
Can i ask why?
Burnout 3 was the best.
i loved the free roaming nonsense.
I liked that too, but I missed the "separate tracks" that were in Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge.
Remake Burnout 3. Receive cash.
Burnout 3 was the best.
But revenge was pretty sweet too.
I loved Revenge but if I remember correctly Revenge was the one where they introduced that retarded "car-punting" thing where you just drive into someone's bumper and send them flying through the air. Other than that I remember Revenge being awesome. I'd buy that again with a remake. Also, I didn't like the free-roam either. I don't know why, I guess tracks just give it more variety and make it easier to tell where exactly you're going. Can't believe i'm saying this, but for Burnout, I really don't want free roam. The radio guy was horrible too.
I loved everything about paradise, if it's anything like that I'll love it.
Burnout 3 was one the most fun games I've ever played.
I think if they had a free roam career mode and then a seperate sort of missions mode and multiplayer mode with different tracks then I think thatd be awesome. Best of both worlds.
Include splitscreen this time, Burnout is the same without it.
console exclusive :saddowns:
Well, I was excited about this. Now I don't give a shit.
If it has split-screen and free roaming, I'm sold. If it has split-screen I'll keep my eye at it. If it doesn't have split-screen they won't get my money.
Well, I was excited about this. Now I don't give a shit.
Well remember that Paradise was console exclusive until later when they released it on PC. And it was a damn solid port too.
Paradise and 3 just feel so much faster than all the others. The recent ones between 3 and P feel too much like Need for speed.
Well, I was excited about this. Now I don't give a shit.
Eh I don't really mind, I have an xbox to play it on and racing games usually turn out to be better for me on consoles.
Burnout Paradise was fucking awesome. But this one is console exclusive :(
I hated the free roaming, but also loved it. I always spent a few minutes before each race planning my routes and winning every time, though I loved the restricted tracks of burnouts 3 and revenge. I think Midnight Club DUB edition was a game that incorporated the free roaming city racing well, at least for me.
At first, I was like FUCK YEAH!!! But then I read this
console exclusive :saddowns:
-slowpunch-
Racing games are much better on the console anyways.
Hmm they got really creative with the subtitle huh.
Racing games are much better on the console anyways.
Split-screen is the best part of Burnout. I didn't buy Need For Speed Hot Pursuit because of that reason.
Takedown was hands-down the best game in the series. Great soundtrack, excellent tracks to race on, almost perfectly balanced car selection, all it needs is more vehicles and tracks it could be another game all on its own.
I bought Burnout Paradise: Ultimate Box for my PS3, but it was in Polish.
Racing games are much better on the console anyways.
No, racing games are just much better with a Controller or Wheel. edit: Oh hell yes, I just remembered that I'm getting a PS3 for my birthday.
