Plot:
The third game sees players take on the role of Prophet (this is questionable due to the end of Crysis 2 when Alcatraz emerges from a crater saying he is now Prophet) as he returns to New York, only to discover the city's been encased in a giant Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. Set in 2047, Prophet is said to be on a "revenge mission" after uncovering the truth behind Cell's motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes. The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were resurrected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. In reality, the Nanodomes are CELL's covert attempt at a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. With alien Ceph lurking around every corner and human enemies on the attack, nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet's quest for retribution.
Release date:
April 2013
Looks like he's holding a techno bow and arrow
I thought this was known before 2 even came out?
Does look like a direct sequel to the other game, would it continue from where it left off?
[sp]Ceph will play a major role as said in the end of the game, welcome back Prophet.[/sp]
I hope they'll base Alcatraz's personality on the one in Legion.
Because god dammit Legion was way better than 2.
I wonder, will the multiplayer be shit again?
Brilliant. Crysis 2 was one of my favourite games last year.
Yawn. More of the same shit. And look its in a city again.
The bow and arrow looks so out of place no matter how futuristic its design.

How the hell do you divine "more of the same" from two images, both of which show next to nothing?
I doubt your character will have a personality, they can only have one if they talk, and no lying about who you are at the end of Crysis 2 doesn't count.
that was fast
and sudden
Didn't the second game come out just last year? There was a four year gap between the first and the second one.
I liked Crysis 2's singleplayer a lot. People bashed it for being too linear compared to the first one, which is true for the most part, but there was still more variety than in most other FPS campaigns.
I just hope the multiplayer is better, and by better I mean actually works
It came out just over a year ago, basically Crytek are turning modern, they're going to be selling not so different shit games every two years now.
this can't be right, a limited edition console version for $49.99?

There was too much hand-holding in the single player.
I kinda liked Cry2. Especially its control scheme.
Will definitely get this one.
I hope they go back to their semi-open world roots
Is that a bow and arrow? I'm sold.
Second game was fun, just allow a little more exploration/non-linearity (word?) and it'll be as good as the first.
I don't like the box art at all, normal edition better stick with the original design of Nanosuit back, head looking back, in the middle of scenery.

Yeah that pissed me off, in Crysis 1 you could explore the entire Island doing crazy bullshit, in 2 there was the occasional wide area but you ultimately had to go where the game wants you to.
I prefer the fresh, open aired atmosphere of the islands more than the cramped, claustrophobic city streets. I really hope, at least for one level, they go back to the islands.
I wonder if it'll top Fibble
They are not gonna do jungles anymore, if Farcry 3 is. It'll be the same game kind of, except Farcry isn't
gonna be sci-fi.
That is a sexy fucking compound bow
videogames need more bows/crossbows
Not sure how they will unfuck the story. Prophet was the only interesting thing they had going and they ruined his story not only in the comics but in the second game.

The story isn't exactly complicated or highly interesting. We woke up aliens wants their planet back. And stole some of their technology.
I think the first game offered more of an illusion of free roaming because effectively there were still only a handful of passages to your objective. It was more vertical tho. But all in all I didn't notice a lot of difference. Here's your objectives and reason why, here you can see the enemies, figure it out.
I kinda want to know what is going on on the rest of Earth, everybody in New York seemed to be just chilling out before the plague even though their is supposedly an alien apocalypse happening at the time
