Oh absolutely it's luck. You have to have teammates that don't murder all the enemy, and a team that isn't crushed so horribly that you have no chance. And you have to get an opening in the enemy lines, and a lucky flank...

You can do, ON AVERAGE, better. You can get higher highs. But you still have to roll to get that 1/1000 chance to get a game like that.
