Hello Facepunch!
Map editors.. i love them! My very first full experience with a map editor is the one of Far Cry Instincts Predator, What a amazing editor was that..
i still got 1-2 gigs of map data on my Xbox 360 HDD, i try to make them very detailed, its very silk to work with those tools.. The graphics where oke for its time, i still love 'em, colour full engine!

Does anyone knows some good map editors?
Everything is oke, Halo 3-like Forge editor, full map editor or anything els!
Hammer, Cryengine 2 sandbox, GECK.
The CryEngine2 Sandbox2 is the best level editor around right now, in terms of ease of use and power, in my opinion.
Though I do have a fondness for Hammer.
Railworks has a nice editor. It's a shame a lot of people neglect it just because the large amount of DLC it has.

Farcry 2's was fun to mess with. It was really easy.

GECK is one of the hardest things to learn in pretty much any map maker.

Very true, I gave up after a few days.
Heard the Source Hammer editor is a bit out-dated..
is this true? or is it just very buggy?

It's outdated; but it can still make fantastic maps.
arma 2 built in editor and visitor 3
It's not buggy at all, what are you on about? Of course it's out dated, Source hasn't recived a significant upgrade since 2007 and entities aside, Hammer has remained essentially unchanged since HL2's release in 2004.

Time-splitters too. Simple but fun.
I never really got into map making
It was fun in RTS map makers to spawn 1000s of soldiers and watch them fight though
The earliest map editor I used was the one in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, classic fun there.

It's a good game though.
Far Cry 2's map editor is nice.

Gotta love that TS editor. You could make very simple maps that were replayable in a matter of minutes just by throwing some spawn points here and there.
Though the main editor I'm used to is Hammer, which is very old, and slightly clunky, but a very solid editor, easy to learn, hard to master, but worthwhile.

I just spawned 10,000 giant chickens in Sandbox 2 :saddowns:
Their heads look almost like fish.

I spent about a week trying to align two corridors. I gave up.
The only reason I use GECK is for item customization. Practically nothing more or else I ragequit trying to learn.
Installing ArmA 2 again, had some good times with the popes and there adventure to [sp]hitler hill[/sp]
The Trials HD Level Editor was amazing.
Crysis' Sandbox is so motherfucking fun. I have a whole bunch of pictures of giant turtles, underwater cities, fields of flowers that I've all made in Sandbox 2.
minecraft
Starcraft and Warcraft 3.
And Starcraft 2.
i do got Crysis, gonna reinstall that to
I used to use hammer a lot I wish I could go back to the days when I made little mazes for people and they were full of traps and I would laugh at them but sometimes I was nice and we made boats and once I made a gaint mountain map with mountains all around it and it was cool but then I didn't play much after that and I like hammers grid better than secondlifes grid
