MW2 - Thoughts on Barebones Pro? - Games

I tried looking around for a thread like this, but the search wasn't working for me, so sorry if this is late (or in the wrong section or something). Just wondering what y'all think about Barebones Pro, the new MW2 playlist. Basically its a mix of FFA and TDM with smaller teams and no killstreaks. I personally think that it's the best thing to happen to MW2 since they nerfed the 1887s, not because it fixes the game or anything, but because it really does make it more playable. There's less reason to OMA noobtube, there's no care packages, and the smaller teams make it both too boring to camp (you get barely any kills) and more satisfying to do well. And as an added bonus I can listen to music while I play (no worries about a UAV or Counter UAV). Also I seem to be much more consistent playing barebones, and I haven't been spawnfucked yet, which is awesome. I'm sure most people don't play MW2 anymore (and for good reason - I was on the verge of quitting myself) but I was just curious as to the reactions of those of you who have stuck around. Again sorry if this is late

This new gamemode almost makes me want to play again. Nevertheless, I shall try it.

No perks and no attachments would make it better.

...But let me guess, this new playlist is only playable after downloading $30 worth of maps?

i found out that even with no killstreaks people still camp a fuckload so its not like they fixed anything

Well, it's not there for me (PC)

IMO they should add that playlist from cod4, the one called old school or something AKA everyone starts with the same gun and has to pick up other guns and perks on the map, also you have more health and lower gravity

old school merged with barebones would be the saving grace of modern warfare 2

I quite like barebones. I like the no killstreaks but I think player count needs a slight boost. All attachments bar scopes and FMJ/Extended mags should go. Perks should stay.

I stopped playing MW2 a while ago but popped it in the other day and saw these barebones pkaylists and gave them a shot. I must say, it's much more fun without killstreaks. People are less likely to camp in objective modes because they aren't worried about getting that precious chopper gunner. It's fun too not having to worry about being the only person on your team who has to waste 5 mins shooting down a harrier. I'm not much of a deathmatch fan, so I like to play objective barebones.
