Because whenever somebody goes to play Quake the first thought that comes to their mind is "Why can't I play as Michael Jordan in this?" Overall great idea and gave me a good laugh from the video.
Will there ever be a chaos dunk implemented?
What the hell. They turned off the music at the start. What kinda crap is that?

Yup, you can

I've never had to install a Quake mod and every site online gives outdated or inaccurate instructions. I think it has something to do with the Steam version of WinQuake.exe ignoring every command line parameter.

I've found fitzquake to to work really well Also, I just learned how to use quake mods yesterday, here's how you do it 1. Throw the mod folder into your quake folder next to id1 2. Start with -game (folder's name)
I did write a readme.txt for it that sadly wasn't included in the OP... http://euksy.oldtimes-software.com/files/Quake/jamquake_readme.txt
I'd play this if they didn't spam the SLAM constantly. Also this comes to mind:

It doesn't try too hard for eye candy like Darkplaces so it keep the classic feel and it has mp3 support so you can play with the soundtrack. Playing mods in DirectQ is pretty simple, just put the mod folder in the DirectQ directory, open DirectQ, go to options, go to Change Game Directory and change the folder to your mod folder.
