So I bought MW2 back when it came out and played it off and on. Over the past few days I've noticed the center ring of the disc looking really rough. I also noticed it looked roughest at the parts where it made contact with the case. Then this morning when I went to play it, my 360 could not read it. Then I looked at the disc and there was a slight crack through the DVD sprouting from the center. So the only safe assumption is that the case has been slowly ruining the game every time I take it out or put in it. I did take really good care of the game too, always making sure it was in its case and such. And in case you guys were wondering what kind of case it was or how the disc looks, I have pictures.
So my question is, does anyone know what I can do about this? Do I contact Activision, Infinity Ward, or Microsoft? I really don't know what to do in this situation.

These new Eco Cases are horrible and have damaged at least 2 of my movies
sue
Where are you guys living?
I didn't get such a "eco-case" over here in Germany with my MW2.
Also, there's probably nothing to do but buy a new copy / they'll probably just think you broke the disk and looked for some excuse.
Why did you even buy MW2?

I see them coming out with new DVD's and some 360 games. I haven't seen them for PS3, Blu-Ray or PC games though.
I always have so much trouble getting this game out of it's case. I fear my disc will meet the same fate as yours.
Why did you even buy MW2?
Why wouldn't he? Jesus Christ, you idiots act like he killed someone.
That's a strange looking case, we didnt get that kind over in the uk.
Same exact thing happened to mine. Take it to Walmart and ask to exchange it for a new one. I bought mine from Gamestop, and did that. It worked, so I got a non-broke disc. It happened to a lot of my friends also, and they did the same thing I did.
Also, if you do trade it for a new one, make sure you swap cases with another game or something.
-snip-
I'm a dumbass.
If you're worried about your game getting damaged, and you don't want this to happen, make a mini-image so you can run the game off your pc directly without having to use the cd.

It's a 360 game.

Yeah, I really hate the new case. Its like so light, I keep thinking its gonna snap
Sometimes I think disks should get that protection plastic around it like the UMDs at the games for the PSP do, sure they're bulky but that still serves nice.
I fucking hate the eco cases. They feel so flimsy. Also you can't stack em. When you do you can see that if you get enough on them, they start to get a depression in the center.
Why did you even buy MW2?
Because he is one of those mainstream-media following idiot little kids?
Who doesn't take care to remove his games from his case with care.
This is one thing I love about Digital Distribution. I don't have to worry about damaging discs.
Go to your store, ask for a replacement. If that doesn't work, contact Activision/IW.

I'm sorry, where does this idea come from? Just because he bought the case makes him a dumbshit child?
Why wouldn't he? Jesus Christ, you idiots act like he killed someone.
Everytime someone buys MW2, God kills a hobo.
And Infinityward sucks for the "award winning" lobbysystem.
**
Although that sucks pretty bad that the case broke your game, did you buy it in Gamestop?
If you did, did you get the game-protection?
Really says something about a company when they can't even design something as simple as a container to hold their product in.
It's like fucking up the design of a paper airplane.
I'm not referring to IW or Fucktotron, either.
Those 6 triangles they've cut out are saving the planet.
Global Warming is cured!
If I ever get any games with cases like this, I'm going to switch them into the cases of older games I don't play anymore.
I'm not risking my games breaking because the Worlds gone Eco crazy.
I keep my games in one of those cd pouches to keep em clean and safe. cases are for using as coasters.

Or because MW2 is a fun game.
I was pissed when I got Assassin's Creed II in one of these shitty little cases.

so you can't like anything "mainstream" anymore? you're an idiot, people play games for fun, let people play what they please.
whoever rated you agree is just as much of an idiot.
I bought it from Gamestop the day i came out. It's like what... January 23rd now?
Does Gamestop have a 90 day warranty?
Also, MW2 was a decent game, not worth the $60 but it was still decent.
Main cause of CO2 in the world.
Volcanoes.
They account for %95 of all of it. (or was it 90 somewhere in that region)
It's like those eco plastic bags you get in shops (the really thin ones that look like normal ones)
I see people taking two bags, filling up one and putting it inside the other because the eco bags are too thin.
Way to combat climate change morons.
Did i mention that the people who look up the CO2 to average temperature ratio have not taken a single reading from Russia ever?
Buy one of those CD wallet things. for a CD it's like sleeping in a bed of fine silk. plus you can fit anywhere betwen 10-30 CD's in the space that's 2/3's the height of a DVD case and about the same width as two.
Much more efficient if you ask me.
Thanks to these retarded eco-cases, the only two MP maps I can play are Estate and Quarry. :sigh:
i never click my games back into their cases. i just usually lay them gently in there. i get real scared when i try to unclick a game of it's case.
I need to find my damned receipt to see if I can get a new copy.
I know what you mean BlackDeath292, that's exactly what I've been doing with the games that have eco cases of mine lately.
If you bought it at gamestop you can return it, they have like a 30 day limit for returns or 7 day if it's used.

I do the same.
Well, if it's a 30 day limit I'm fucked.
It's a 360 game.
Well I'm stupid. That's what happens when I don't even read the OP. :bang:
