Any news, ideas for new Vegas? The trailer didn't really give away anything...

Can't wait for it. Content:

What is Fallout: New Vegas? Fallout: New Vegas is a standalone title set in the universe of Fallout, and using the same engine as Fallout 3, though it is not a sequel to that game.
When is the release date? Fallout: New Vegas is set for release on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the Fall of 2010.
Who is making and publishing Fallout: New Vegas? Fallout: New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment. It will be published by Bethesda, though Namco Bandai will publish it in Oceania and a number of European countries.
Where and when does Fallout: New Vegas take place? Fallout: New Vegas will take place around Vegas, Nevada. It will take place in 2280, 3 years after Fallout 3 and 40 years after Fallout 2.
What is Fallout: New Vegas’ rating? Fallout: New Vegas has not been rated yet, but is said to be aiming for a mature rating.
What are the system requirements? Does it use Games for Windows Live? System requirements have not been announced yet. Fallout: New Vegas will use Games for Windows Live for its Windows PC release.
Any familiar names working on this title? A number of developers from Black Isle Studio left to form Obsidian in 2003, and quite a few familiar faces remain to work on this title. Lead designer J.E. Sawyer was last seen - to Fallout fans - working on BIS' Fallout 3 iteration, Van Buren. Chris Avellone, designer who worked on Fallout 2 and created New Reno, is senior designer on the game. Scott Everts, (senior) technical designer on Fallout and Fallout 2, is a designer on this game.

Looks like it's the same engine as Fallout 3. I really hope they make it so the third person animations aren't so goddamn horrible and also optimize it better.

your post offered nothing to this thread either and nor has mine
We should form a posting supergroup.
yes we can produce good out of every thread
I don't know if this is known or not, but I got a list of upcoming releases this year from GameStop, and it says this game comes out October 1st.
They're just guesstimating, they know nothing. Also, anyone have their email? I want to send them a strongly worded letter voicing my disapproval of their choice for Games For Windows Live.

I see nothing wrong with GFWL, I don't why everyone hates it. I've never had a problem with it.
Hmm, the command wheel thing for followers seems a little bit console-y, but that's only a minor thing really. It looks like it could be as good as, if not better than Fallout 3. GFWL was godawful when it was new, I don't mind it anymore. I don't like it either, but it's not as terrible as people insist. Something about the PSM scans on NMA: "Fallout's trademark incredible vista moments", as in the single one which was at the start of Fallout 3, what they really mean is "Bethesda's trademark...", as seen in Oblivion + Shivering Isles.

I know it's a moot point as they'll be using GFWL almost definately but I do agree that GFWL is hassle, I'm not fond of it nor the points system they use for paying which means you have to pay more in points that you actually need to buy the item and clouds the cost of DLCs. That said I'll still definately get new vegas, GFWL or not, I enjoyed FO3 too much to not get the sequel.

See Dawn Of War 2 & Empire: Total War.
I had to install Steam with Half-Life 2, which I thought was strange at first but then quickly discovered how great it is, and the awesome deals they have, along with a great selection of games. ...Okay, back then when Half-Life 2 came out, it wasn't that great, but now...it's awesome.
Fallout: New Vegas will use Games for Windows Live for its Windows PC release. FUCCCCCCCCCCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUU
Hopefully it will be like Fallout 3, where if you didn't go online you never had to see anything to do with GFWL.
I thought it was going to be online. Slow and sad
That's Project V13, the MMO thing which I can't see doing too well myself. Presuming that it's not cancelled.
At the start you get shot in the head twice and dumped in a shallow grave by the robot in the trailer. You then wake up and proceed to find the guy who shot you, while at the same time attempting to find out what you were delivering. You are not from a vault, but someone from a vault gives you a pip-boy.
Why do people keep making contentless New Vegas threads? There's a perfectly fine one already made.
You couldn't kill everything in one hit on foot.
That doesn't mean it's done well though.
