Atari brought us something that most of our youth would never imagine living without, GAMES. They're the console elders, early adopters of this awesome industry. And just like any old man, [del]they're dying[/del] they are in bad shape, they even filled Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Botox: Let's buy back and relaunch ATARI (a.k.a. short-term plans)
Atari Assets are going to be up for bids, we at Game Console Worldwide want to see their legacy living even longer, for the fans and future gamers alike. to do so, our idea is to place a bid on their assets. We believe that we can bring back these nostalgic pleasures for nowadays platforms. Relaunching these classics in their original state, for everyone to enjoy. We're even pre-loading these games for future GCW Zero owners! (if we're successful, that is). A big enough pledge, which is not your whole paycheck, will get you a whooping library of 20 atari games and a Reset: ATARI T-Shirt.
Aerobic Exercises: Licensing games (a.k.a. long-term plans)
We think people should be able to play their favorite games regardless of their platform of choice, and also developers should have a chance on revitalizing games they love. That's why we plan on licensing said IP for talented developers and great platforms alike. Think like spreading love around the gaming industry and community.... for a fee, of course! We hope that with your help, we'll be able to keep the ball rolling for longer, if you have interest in this project, here's a few good pointers: FUNDABLE CAMPAING PAGE: http://www.fundable.com/reset-atari IRC CHANNEL: #gcw @ irc.freenode.net
::FAQ::
- Q: Is this related to the GCW Zero? - A: In a sense, one could say that, but this is meant to be a campaign for itself, outside of our GCW Zero project. - Q: Does this means that the GCW Zero platform won't allow emulators? - A: Of course not! The EMULATION scene is a huge part of the homebrew scene, we have no plans to take this away from you! Refer to the QA above. - Q: What funds are you willing to put on this? - A: We will bid through a combination of crowdfunded and privately raised funds. Any and all money put on this is NOT related to the previous GCW Zero attempt. Again, this project is OUTSIDE of our previous campaign. - Q: Do I own the IPs if I partake on this campaign? - A: No, pledges won't entitle you to any IP, only to whatever rewards are offered by the tier you chose to pledge for. - Q: What IP do you have in mind? - A: Our plan is acquiring IPs ranging from 72' to 96'.
--DISCLAIMERS--
Information not Verified The information we have gathered and provided has not been verified by a third party. The numbers we are quoting may in fact be wrong. We encourage you to conduct your own diligence on the affairs of Atari. We're just telling you what we think we know. All information is subject to change.
"The information we have gathered and provided has not been verified by a third party. The numbers we are quoting may in fact be wrong.We're just telling you what we think we know." Translates to: "We could be lying, and none of this could be true and this statement absolves us of all responsibility, but please give us money anyway." Sorry but I'm skeptical, best of luck if you're not lying.

Skeptism is fine, you have nothing to be sorry for.
